Samuel's POV

I have known the turtles for about three years now, and I've grown close to all of them especially Raph. He has always been there when I needed to talk to someone, and he understands me a lot with some of the problems I deal with. He became my boyfriend seven months ago, and we have been happy together.

I opened up to them all last year, and they all say they accept me for who I am. But to me, I'm just not sure if they really do. It's hard being yourself and truly feeling like they accept you for you.

Always hoping that they don't turn their backs on you, well... I don't think they would do that, but that's just how it's always felt with me. Hard to keep my walls down, I had them up for a reason. 

I love Raph, and he says he loves me...

I'm just being insecure and overthinking again. I sighed as I looked out to the city lights. My legs dangling above the ladder against my apartment.

I miss Raph, I haven't seen him in two days, he has training on Tuesdays then patrol, and then he has his own day to do his own stuff on Wednesday. So I leave him alone on those days, even though sometimes he sneaks away to come and see me.

I felt a heaviness in my chest as I suddenly felt sad, as I tried not to think about anything else. Try thinking about the next time I will see Raph. 'Try to not let the depression come', I chanted in my head.

I sighed as I looked to my cellphone, no text from Raph. I sent him a text.

Sam: Hey can you make it tonight?

Raph <3: Sorry, I can't make it tonight. We just heard there was another FootClan attack recently, and they are planning on getting shipments at the docks.

...

Raph <3: I'm sorry Sam :(

Sam: It's okay, you gotta stop them. Gotta be a hero! :)

Raph <3: Yup, gotta keep the city safe.

Raph <3: Sorry have to go. Love you <3.

I smiled with a sigh.

Sam: Love you too, be safe <3.

Raph <3: Always.

I sighed as I slowly climbed back down the ladder and climbed back into my apartment.

Five days later...

Raph's POV

"Come on Master Splinter, we defeated Shredder, I need to check up on Sam." I sighed in frustration.

"You have to be hidden for the week, just as precaution. We don't know how much the city is being patrolled." Master Splinter said.

"We already discussed this Raph." Leo sighed.

"Sam has been waiting patiently for eight days. I told him after we were done our mission I would go over." I growled.

"The police scanners have been located more often all over the city, we have to hide for the week Raph." Donnie said as he looked through his notes.

"That was the promise we made with April and Master Splinter." Mikey chimed in as he ate his pizza.

I growled as I stormed off to my room.
