Keya's POV:

I ran. I literally ran as far as I could. I did not want to breathe the same air as him. I did not want to look at him or let him look at me. I wanted him to go away like he did years ago.

"Keyaa! Stop!", Krish's voice stopped me.

I Went down on my knees the moment the tears started to pour.

Krish kneeled down next to me and softly said , "You said he didn't matter to you anymore.. Then why are you reacting this way?"

Seriously..why was I?

"I don't know Krish.. I just don't wanna see him.. It feels like all that happened just yesterday..", I said as I sank into his arms.

"Keya.. I'm so sorry.. Its all my fault.. I should have backed out few years ago.. He would never have left then..", Krish closed his eyes.

"Krish. Don't say that. It's not your fault. Aarav never understood us.. He is nothing like his sister.. Aarya never once raised a finger on you.. If he loved me enough he would have fought through the jealousy and stayed. But he didn't.. My mind is clear Krish.. I don't want him back.. I feel nothing for him at all.. No love... No hate.. No feelings at all.. It's just that I wasn't prepared to face him this way.. I thought I'd rather ignore him.. But when he showed up in the middle of the performance...", I couldn't say anything further, just hung my head down.

Tanya broke the silence, "Keya , you are the strongest girl I have ever come across.. You will deal with it soon.. And you aren't alone.. We are always here for you right? If that guy ever tries to mess with my bestie again.. I'm gonna kick his balls out!".

That last line made Krish cry out of surprise, "O.M.G.! The little girl had become a woman now!"

We all chuckled at it. They were right. I need not worry about anything as long as I've got them. All I'd do is ignore him. I can right? And my friends are here to distract me.

"Guys.. I just got a text from Rajeev.. He says he wants us near the dance floor .. Now..", Tanya said.

"okay let's go.. I guess I'm good now!", I smiled and we made our way back to the party.

As we neared I watched Kabir waiting for us, "Keya.!", he exclaimed as we reached him.

"I'm so sorry.. Aarav just blackmailed me into helping him out.. He said he just wanted to surprise everyone and never even let me have a hint how it could affect you.. I wouldn't have..."

"It's okay Kabir..", I cut him out. "It's okay.. I don't care what he does or how he does. I understand you were helping a friend.. " , I forced a smile.

If Aarav's intentions were to make me fight with my friends over him then he was wrong. I wouldn't let that prick have his way.

We four walked further when Shannon took Kabir away and I waited with Tanya and Krish near the floor hunting for Rajeev. He was nowhere to be found.

Aarav's POV:

The happiness in my parents eyes on seeing me gave me more pleasure than being back. I had disappointed them when I told them about my sudden decision to leave. It wasn't easy for them to keep their son away just a few years after they lost their daughter.

But that's all gone now. Here I am. Back home and everyone seems so happy.

I saw Vivan and Sahil at the shack-bar waving their beer bottles to me when I raised my hands to wave them.
