" Put your fucking shoes on." Hoyt said as he adjusted his hat

" Let the games..." I muttered

" Nonononono ..." Hoyt said as he shook his head and waved his hands back and forth

" BEGIN!" I said cheerfully

" Just put your damn shoes on." Hoyt said pointing at my shoes

" In the vacuum of space, are there free-floating molecules?" I asked while tapping my chin

Hoyt groaned " Put your shoes on." The old sheriff said firmly only making me smirk

I smirked wider as he ran a hand down his face

" Did you know that we don't actually vote for president, we vote for people who vote for president?" I said placing with my sock

" I don't give a fuck, put your shoes on." Hoyt said flexing his fingers

" I am." I said with a head tilt

" You ain't not. Put ya fucking shoes on." Hoyt said with his frown increasing

" Why do we have shoes anyway?" I asked with a whine

" Give me a break and just put your fucking shoes on now." Hoyt said as he pointed to my shoes which were aside me nearly- not at all -forgotten

" That reminds me, where are my shoes?" I asked as i looked around the room

" What? They're right there! Right next to your feet!" Hoyt said with a growl as he leant against the doorframe

" Oh, these shoes?" I asked with a small head tilt

" YOU ONLY HAVE-" Hoyt started to shout and just as quickly as his voice rose, Mama popped her head in and glared 

" ... I'm sorry. Yes. Those shoes. Your only shoes." Hoyt said with furrowed brows

I huffed and crossed my arms over my chest " Why don't I have more shoes?" I asked with narrowed eyes

" No more questions, just put your shoes on." Hoyt said as he rubbed his temple

" I can't. I'm not wearing socks." I said bluntly as i lifted up my bare foot in the air and wiggled my toes around

" Did you take your socks OFF?" Hoyt grumbled and took his hat off with a clenched fist

" Well, I'm not wearing them any more, so it's a fair bet." I said with a giddy giggle

" Put on your socks and then put on your shoes." Hoyt said as he ran a hand down his face

" I am!" I said with another high pitched cackle

" Your not! Your just sitting there!" Hoyt said raising his voice

" This is me putting on my shoes! This is part of it! All of this, this is the putting on of the shoes. It says in the I Ching ..." I said with my head shifting front leaning right to leaning left

" NO. NO MORE I FUCKIN' CHING. PUT YOUR-" Hoyt was cut off by Mama yelling at him to quiet down and not to yell at me

" Just ... put your shoes on." Hoyt said before putting his hat back on

" I found my socks. They were right here next to my shoes." I said excitedly while waving both my socks in the air laughing

" If you put your shoes on by the time I count to five, I'll let you choose what we do next." Hoyt said with a snarl on his lips " One ..."

I sat there with socks and shoes already on cross legged. " Cuddle."

Hoyt groaned and started to shout and throw his arms around as i started to roll around on the ground holding my stomach laughing, Mama walked in with her apron on and a wooden spoon in her right hand.

" What in the name of Texas is going on in here?" She asked annoyed

" The lil bitch wouldn't put her god damn shoes on!?" Hoyt yelled with eyes filled with frustration

Mama looked at me laying there on the ground with a goofy smile on and then down to my feet before glaring at Hoyt.

" She does have her shoes on boy" Mama said with her free hand on her hip

" Hoyt said if i got my shoes on we could cuddle!!" I exclaimed happily, Mama rose a brow before looking at her son with the same bewildered expression.

" Oh did he now?" She asked

Hoyt groaned loudly before nodding, i cheered and jumped up and down before latching onto his arm and tugging the older man onto the couch before curling up on his lap still clinging to his arm tightly.

" Fuckin' bitch. How do those Sawyers deal with you?" Hoyt asked after a bit of silence

" i don't even know" i said sleepily as i nuzzled into his chest some more...
