Chapter 10

"Dad I'm sorry" we stand there, me Dad and Tall boy looking at the TV with a video that was dropped off
"El what is this?" he pauses it on me and Malachai kissing
"I'm sorry. I thought..." I start crying
"You thought he love you?" Tall Boy looks at me in disgust
"He... he said that because I didn't have my jacket yet...."
"Tall Boy deal with this. This stays between us"

"See you next week El. Your doing really well" Mr Phillips says as I pick up my jacket and put it on
"Bye Mr Phillips" I open the door to the class room and walk out seeing once again Sweet Pea waiting for me. I hop on his bike and we ride over to Sweetwater river
"What are we doing here?" I laugh
"Because I wanted to ask you something"
"Ok?" I say confused as we sit down on the grass
"We don't have to put a label on it but..."
"Sweet Pea. I like you I really do but I just don't do relationships remember"
"That's why I said let's not put a label on it... or at least not until your comfortable" I sigh looking at him. I rest my head on his shoulder as he wraps an arm around my waist.

"Ms Blossom you may proceed with your statement"
"Your Honor. I speak for myself and my mother when I say we forgive FP Jones for the part he played in covering up my brothers murder" I sigh, Sweet Pea taking my hand and squeezing it "and we humbly ask the court for leniency. FPs guilt has been blown out of proportion to satiate what my fathers suicide denied us. Closure"
"As much as I sympathise, I can't ignore the quality of Mr Jones' crimes. There were no extenuating circumstances" I look down at mine and Sweet Peas hands
"My farther threatened him" Cheryl says quickly, I look up at her "I over heard them talking in daddy's study. Daddy said he would hurt Jughead and Ella if FP didn't comply.... is that extenuating enough?"
"In light of these revelations I suggest we take a step back and reevaluate certain aspects of the case. At which time we will revisit sentencing. Adjourned" I breath out and look at Sweet Pea who's smiling. I stand up and hug my dad
"Is that a win?" He asks
"It's a delay so yeah" Jughead responds hugging dad as well, all of us with tears in our eyes.

I head over to Pops with some of the Serpents making sure that they don't do anything stupid we see some girls on the roof singing Milkshake. I start to laugh
"Wow what a cringe fest" I continue to laugh folding my arms
"Come on" Tall Boy says
"Woah. Don't want to do anything we will regret"
"Princess calm down" I follow them in folding my arms. We walk over to a booth
"And what can I get you?" Veronica says coming over to us
"Two strawberries, one vanilla and two chocolate milkshakes please" I ask
"Hop to it little lady"
"Tall Boy" I scold him "I'll be back in a minute" I say seeing someone I recognise as Reggie Mantle walking out. I follow him behind Pops
"You got the stuff Southsider"
"Shut it Mantle" I hand over some weed in return for money
"Pleasure doing business with you. It's a shame your Southside scum"
"Whatever" I turn around and walk back into Pops taking my seat and a sip of my milkshake
"What was that about?"
"None of your business Tall Boy"
"Keep your eye on your brother tomorrow. Make sure he doesn't do anything stupid that could get us into trouble with the Ghoulies"
Tall Boy says nodding over towards Jughead and Betty. I look out the window and see Reggie handing over the weed
"Jesus Mantle couldn't be any more obvious" I roll my eyes and look back over at Jug. My phone beeps, I look to see it's Sweet Pea
