Serpents ✔️

Chapter 1

Our story is about a town, a small town and the people who live in the town. From a distance, it presents itself like so many other other small towns all over the world. Safe. Decent. Innocent. Once you get closer you start to see the darkness that's underneath. The name of this town is Riverdale. On July 4th Jason Blossom went missing, Cheryl, his twin, said it was an accident. She had dropped her glove to which he went to retrieve it, causing the boat they were on the tip. Jason drowned, however no body was found. There's 2 sides to this town. The Northside and the Southside, the two not getting on and jughead being caught in the middle of his friends and family.

"Damn it Sweet Pea" I say handing him over $20. I've been with the Serpents since as long as I can remember, but I never earned my jacket. I'm planning on doing my initiation soon though. Sweet Pea, Toni and Fangs are my best friends, we grew up together they all have their Serpent jackets
"Ella" Fangs calls from behind
"What?" I say annoying
"What's up with you? Who's got your panties in a twist?" Toni laughs as I scowl at her
"Ok so I have an idea on you initiation" Fangs continues
"I'm doing the Serpent dance" I say getting the pool balls back on the table
"Seriously" Toni rolls her eyes turning to walk away
"Hey you did it" I say to her as she flips me off laughing
"El up for another game?" Sweet Pea asks
"Oh hell..."
"No. you should all be at school" my dad FP states walking into the Whyte Wyrm
"Fine" I grab my bag and pull it over my shoulder "see ya Dad bye Tall Boy" Fangs, Sweet Pea, Toni and I leave for school. Which might I add is just a complete shit hole. I get on the back of Sweet Pea's bike. Toni and Fangs take their own and I wrap my arms around his waist
"Ready princess?"
"Let's get this over with" he starts up the bike and in no time we're at Southside high. I get off and immediately two of the ghoulies are walking towards us
"What's up El. How's dear old dad?"
"Shut up JC" I roll my eyes and walk past them
"Oh Malachai sends his love" I stiffen up at the sound of his name
"You ok El?" Toni asks
"Yeah just peachy" I quicken my pace and walk into the school placing my bag in the tray to be checked. I walk through the metal detector then take my bag over to my locker
"Hey Ella wait up"
"What Sweet Pea?" I turn to face him as I reach my locker, opening it up
"Aren't we going to talk about last night?" He asks
"No. I was lonely, you were lonely end of. It was a one off and will not happen again got it?" I whisper
"Miss Jones" Mr Philips calls me "I need a word" I shut my locker door and walk away from Sweet Pea.
As usual the rest of the day is boring, I leave with Sweet Pea, Fangs and Toni
"So what did old Phil want?" Sweet Pea asks
"Nothing don't worry about it. What do you say to another bet?"
"Jesus El your gonna have no money left" Toni laughs as she puts an arm around my shoulder.

"You hear about that Jason guy?" Fangs asks Sweet Pea while they are playing pool. Toni's working behind the bar so I'm sat keeping her company while drinking whatever she has concocted
"You knew him didn't you?" She asks me
"Kinda. I did a job once for the him, he asked me for some drugs a few weeks ago. He was dating one of the coopers daughters, he asked me how to fake a death"
"Woah. Can I ask you something?"
"Sure" I take a sip of my drink
"What did JC mean by Malachai sends his love"
"Just leave it yeah" I finish my drink and walk over to the boys playing pool.

"Shhh if we get caught I'm dead"  I say pulling him close
"Baby please your untouchable. Your dad..."
"Exactly my dad. The leader of the Serpents, he can't know about this"
"I know baby. Why don't you leave the Serpents then we can be together" he rubs his hands up my arm
"You know I can't. That's my family"
"What, do we just keep sneaking about?"
"Yes. Or at lease for now"

"Yo princess you good?" Sweet Pea puts down his cue
"Yeah sorry just tired. I'll catch you guys tomorrow" I start to head out
"Need a lift?"
"No thanks I'll be fine" I walk home which doesn't take to long. I open the trailer door to see my dad sat with a bottle of beer
"Really dad?"
"It's just one I promise. Have you heard from or seen your brother today?"
"Nope. I'm going to bed catch you later"
"Goodnight El"
