Chapter 24

(following anime episodes 83 and 84)

          The night soon arrived in Neo Domino city and it was now Yusei's turn to sleep on the couch, because Hanako was sleeping in his room, so she went upstairs to change her clothes. She was tired and exhausted from all that happened, while her heart was still trying to recover from the pain she went through. She was angry at Yusei for what he's done, but as the day was passing by, she realised that it was just the circumstances that made it all worse and that she would probably be less worried, if he was there or if she could maintain the connection with the guys, so after all that happened, she ended up blaming herself for how she was feeling about it. She sighed at how reckless she was, almost letting out all of her feelings towards Yusei, just because she was feeling vulnerable... But he would never return those feelings back to her, or at least that's what she thought, so she decided to be more careful next time, as she took of her dungarees and started removing the rest of her clothes from her body, while the light in the room was turned off, with only a small table lamp showering its dim light over her body.

In the meantime, Yusei was downstairs in the garage with Bruno, checking something before they go to sleep, but suddenly Bruno started feeling tired, so he yawned, making Yusei realise it was already too late for continuing any further, so he stopped for a while and looked at Bruno, "What do you say we continue in the morning?" He smiled warmly at his new friend, watching how Bruno nodded his head.

          "Sure", Bruno said with a warm smile, seeing how Yusei started leaving, going upstairs to his room. He climbed the ladder, entering inside the room without knocking; completely forgetting Hanako could be there, because he was too tired to think about it. As he opened the door, Hanako had her back turned to him, as a dimmed picture of her round, chubby butt popped in his mind, seeing briefly, only for a moment her butt cheek with her panties separating them in the middle, so he blushed at the sudden sight of her half-naked body. He immediately closed the door, feeling how his heart started beating so fast, he couldn't hear the sound the door hitting the wall and closing.

"Who's there?" He suddenly heard Hanako's scared voice that made him snap out of it, so he leaned his back against the door, closed his eyes and took a deep breath, leaning his forehead against his fingers, scolding himself for being so reckless.

          "It's me, Baby", he said warmly, slowly opening the door only an inch, as he leaned his head to the edge of the door, with his back facing the room, "I came to grab few things", he said into the open space of the room between the door and the wall, waiting for her to answer, hoping she didn't notice how he already went too far and entered the room few seconds ago.

"Ah, just give me a second", he heard her voice cheerful, so he sighed in relief, realising how she didn't notice what just happened. He smiled softly at the thought, not wanting to make this even worse than it already was.

          "Sure", he said, letting go of the door, as he kept standing in front of the room, turning around to face the entrance, when suddenly the door opened, making him focus his eyes onto the entrance. Hanako was standing before his eyes, covered in a long, baggy shirt that was falling over her entire body, hiding it away completely, all the way down to her knees, so he quickly scanned her with his gaze, his eyes travelling all the way down to her feet, before they returned back up to meet her gaze.

"Do you... Wanna come inside?" Hanako asked softly with a blush, looking at Yusei with her eyebrows raised. Judging by the look in his eyes, she assumed how his mind was somewhere else.

          "Y-yeah", he snapped out of it, watching how she opened the door and moved to the side to let him in.

"Take all the time that you need", she smiled brightly, leaving the door open, before she moved to the bed and sat on it, crossing her legs and reaching for the book she was reading, while Yusei had his back turned to her, searching for something in the drawer.
