A week had passed since we'd arrived back from Mexico. Everyone was alive and kicking, with a slight tan and frown lines as we were back to reality. Despite my Uncle saying the boys didn't have to go back to school my aunt went against it and although it was the middle of July, they had one week left until they broke up for the summer holidays. It sucked for Lucas but Josh was excited as he wouldn't miss his band recital which he'd been working hard for, plus it meant we all had to go.

I headed back into work Monday morning and Ida had joined me too. We both looked sun kissed and brown, obviously her more than me. I think Tara had began to suspect something about us but still hadn't said anything.

Wednesday morning and I was in the office giggling with Ida as we went through some reports.

"Are you coming to Josh' band recital today?" I asked her.

She nodded her head, "Isaiah tried to make us skip but I said it wasn't fair on Josh then he said he'd only go if I go so now I have to go." She said and I laughed.

"I mean it won't be for long, it'll be survivable." I said as I scanned through another report.

Tara came in with a cup of tea and sat next to be opposite Ida. We both went silent.

"Uh huh." Tara looked between us. "It's not a coincidence that both of you took holiday at the same time is it and you both have come back looking a few shades darker." She looked between us suspiciously.

Ida let out a sigh and looked at me and nodded. It was time.

"I am engaged to Delilah's step brother." Ida confessed.

"The guy that was in our office like a month ago?" Tara asked and I nodded.

She cracked into a smile, "congratulations. I guess I would have found out when I got the wedding invite and saw Delilah there with her whole family." Tara lightened the mood and we both laughed.

"Please don't tell anyone though, I don't want anyone to know." I smiled.

Tara nodded "understood."

"Now let's finish finish these reports guys so we can go for some lunch."

*~*

About half an hour later we were all done and Ida took us out for lunch. I couldn't lie because of the holiday our relationship had changed. Even in the office I still respected her as my boss but everything was now more a little light hearted and we spoke more.

"Delilah can I catch a ride with you to the school? I took a train today and Isa said he's stuck in traffic." Ida said as I packed up my things.

A few hours had passed and we were all done for the night.

"Sure." I smiled as I put my laptop in my bag. I text Mason that I'd finished work and I was on my way to the recital. He said he was already there with Josh who was feeling a bit nervous. I aww'd then Ida and I made our way to the carpark. There was no time to change out of our work clothes so I was in a full red suite with black heels and my black YSL bag and Ida wore a navy suit with grey heels and a white blouse.

We hopped into my range and I slowly steered out of the car park and onto the main road and headed for our area when Isaiah called me.

"Hello Friend," I answered as I turned and took a left.

"Is Ida there?" He asked with a gruff tone.

"Oh don't check on your dear sister then." I teased. It was on hands-free mode so his voice filled up the car.
