For anything in life we have this picture in mind of how it will look like, how it will turn out. I always had a perfect picture of what I wanted my husband to look like, and not until recently did I realize inner beauty is more important than outer beauty. Everything in this generation paints what a "perfect" man looks like, I hadn't realized how much my judgement was clouded by it until now. My name is Maisa and this is the story of how I woke up and made my own choices.

I was sixteen and finding a husband was all I thought about. I wanted a companion, and I wanted to feel wanted, to feel loved. I grew up with busy parents that were not always able to provide us with love and I have felt there is a void in my heart that I needed to fill; the only way I could think of was to get married. I wasn't sure my parents were willing to even talk about marriage for me yet so I took matters in my hands.
