Everyone in this world can turn into an animal. They have an animal feature when in human form. All countries are their national animal (only one animal. Sometimes it's a bird)
America is the only exception.
America is a deer, instead of his national animal, the bison.
*America*
I'm running in my animal form.
A huge bear is chasing me. I jump over fallen trees and roots.
The loud roars echo in my ears.
I managed to get ahead somehow, but it's catching up.
A sudden burst of speed gets me ahead again. I jump over another tree, when my antlers get stuck.
I panic and try to get out. Only my hind legs can touch the ground.
I hear the bear growling. It's close.
I panic and turn human again. I'm still stuck in the branches of a tree.
I reach up and try pulling myself free, when I get grabbed from behind.
I squeak.
The person pulls me out of the tree. I look up at the person. oh...
He growls "What are you doing here?"
"I-I.."
I curl up against him. "H-He..."
I start crying quietly.
He carries me through the woods. He asks "Why did you come now? The bears are getting ready for hibernation, which means they eat a lot more."
"I-I didn't w-want to..."
He raises an eyebrow.
I just cry more.
He walks up to a large house, opening the door.
A few dogs jump up and try biting me, but he makes them sit.
He puts me down on the couch.
I curl up, shivering slightly. He drops a blanket on me.
I wrap the blanket around myself tightly, whimpering and crying.
I wake up in my own bed as a deer.
My blanket is tangled around my antlers.
I turn human and stare in the mirror. I untangle the blanket and put it down.
I get dressed, then slowly walk downstairs. Dad roars in anger at something and I instinctively wince.
I peek into the kitchen to see his tail swishing back and forth angrily.
I silently turn and sneak outside, forgetting my coat.
