Thirty Fifth Aegyo

Just a few hours ago a nurse came in to give me my check up, and also my afternoon snack. Now, I'm busy watching random things on tv. Neither of the shows interests me for my mind is somewhere else. I got scared when Choilin texted me that Seon didn't go to school today. Maybe my last night's speech triggered something in him. Bloody hell I'll jump off the building if that's the reason. 

Another thing: my ankle isn't fractured but the doctor told me I shouldn't engage in strenuous activities ( so no soccer for me in the meantime ). I couldn't help but stare at my bandaged ankle. It is a first for me to get confined in a hospital. Chuckling, I settled myself in watching horror ( I stumbled upon Star Movies and saw REC playing ). Just as the movie was at it's peak, someone came barging in my room. I saw Woohyun smiling as he went in, letting Jean and Myungsoo inside as well.

" I heard from Jean. " He said while taking a seat on the chair beside my bed. He suddenly pulled my best friend on his lap, her face flushed at the action. Myungsoo, on the other hand, went to the oposite side of the bed and sat on the ledge, our shoulders touching.

" Unawesome, huh? " I chuckled. " Got my ankle sprained because of a staircase. "

" But what's important is nothing serious happened to all of you. " Myungsoo spoke as he laid his head on my shoulder.

" Yeah. " I couldn't help but lay my head on top of his. " I even said harsh words to Seon. "

" I did too. " Jean sighed and leaned slightly on Woohyun. " Back when Jin-Hae was about to have a heart attack during the search. But don't feel bad about it: you did a reverse-psychology on him. "

" Reverse-Psychology? "

" Yep. " She smiled and was about to stand when Woohyun instantly tightened his hug around her waist. Jean scowled at him before giving up, with the male having a triumphant smile on his face, and settling herself on his lap again. " You set-off something in his nerves, which made him react and realize his actions....waking him back to reality. "

" Maybe I did... " I trailed off. " But without everyone's help in reasoning with him, Seon would have jumped off the bridge....and he hasn't gone to school as well... "

" For now, let's not talk about that. " She straightened herself before her eyes made an evil glint. " Seriously Blythe I'm so disappointed in you... "

" Why? " I asked, confused. Did I do something which made her feel that way? I don't even remember doing something like that...what on earth is she talking about?                  

" You're a soccer player but you've been bested by a staircase!!! " 

" You didn't have to add salt on the wound. " I pouted at her. She only laughed and patted my head.

" There, there, I'm just lightening up the mood. "

" Well you're getting discharged today, right? " Woohyun suddenly asked and I nodded at him. " Sweet, let's grab something to eat!!! "

" But I just ate my afternoon snack, though another round wouldn't hurt. " Both my and Woohyun's eyes sparkled at the thought of food. 

" I could tell you two will really get along in the future... " Jean sarcastically said. Myungsoo was only watching us with an amused look. A few hours later, I was discharged from the hospital.

" Term break is almost up. " Woohyun suddenly spoke as we ate our dinner. We are apparently at Cafe France ( Jean was suddenly craving for pasta so we decided to eat one for dinner ).

" Last I check on the calender of activities... " Jean said while wiping her mouth with a tissue. " Sembreak is in two weeks time. "

" Why don't we all go out on a trip again. " I could see Woohyun's eyes sparkled as he said it. " Last time wasn't that memorable but this time I could guarantee that it will!!! "

" And where do you propose to go then? "

" It's a secret~ "

" Say Myungsoo, what do you want to do once our sembreak starts? " I asked INFINITE's visual, since Jean and Woohyun are busy bickering with each other once again. He only shrugged and smiled at me.

" As long as you're there, then it's fine. " I blushed at his words. My lips turned into a small smile at that. The four of us continued eating dinner, and grabbed some ice cream afterwards. When it's almost curfew, the two dropped Jean and I off at the university, bidding us good night before their van drove away.

" Better be careful while walking. " Jean told me as we were walking through the courtyard. She was carrying a paper bag with my clothes from yesterday ( it's so kind of her to bring me fresh new clothes, wearing a patient's gown is somewhat discomforting to me ).

" Hey Jean, how's Hae-won? " I asked.

" She's still her usual self. " I could see a sad smile on her face. " But I know she's hiding her grief. "

" I see... " The both of us were plunged in silence. Just as the dorm can be seen from the distance, Jean suddenly stopped. I turned to her and saw a serious look on her face.

" But I know she'll pull through. " She suddenly smiled. " Hae-won's strong and she has all of us to support her. "

" And Jin-Hae? "

" I've been telling her it's not her fault multiple times since yesterday. " Jean shrugged. " And Seon will get back on his feet before you know it... "

I smiled at that. " I believe so, as well. "

" Let's not lose hope!!! " We continued walking towards the dorms. Once back in our room, I was attacked by Yuna in a hug. Hae-won only has a smile on her face as she welcomed us back. I do hope that what has transpired yesterday wouldn't change a thing in our group. Everyone is really important to me and I don't want our friendship to break. I'll pray for Seon's, Jin-Hae's and Hae-won's sake ( for they're the ones who were hurt the most ). I'll, no, we'll lend them a shoulder to lean on and cheer them on all the same, encouraging and giving them our support. No matter what we won't give up. We'll be their bridge. We'll mend all the breaks and pieces. We won't lose hope...

I won't lose hope.
