Zhan rested in Yibo's arms, though sleep didn't come easy. The clock on the nightstand showed 11:30 pm. He knew the next morning was quickly approaching, so he attempted again to close his eyes.

Still, he worried how much longer he had with Yibo and his kids. Never thought I would say that. He loved playtime with Ling Xi, Junior's smiles in the morning, and
being with... Yibo.

Then Yibo shifted positions. Zhan gazed as the moonlight glowed off his face, but smiled when he caressed his cheek. He nuzzled closer to him.

"Can't sleep?" He murmured.

"Not really," Zhan replied.

"What time is it?"

"Almost midnight," he answered.

"Something on your mind?"

"Yes," Zhan answered.

"Like what?"

"Us, the kids, our... life," he said
truthfully.

"Just relax and try to go to sleep. We have a lot going on tomorrow night."

Zhan panicked. He didn't need any more surprises.

"What's tomorrow night?"

"The Christmas party for my job, remember? You said you were coming with me right?"

I did.

"I did?"

"Yes, Babe, you did."

"What about the kids?"

"They'll be with their grandparents; they're spending the night."

Zhan was still uneasy.

"Are you sure about that Yibo? I don't know about leaving—"

"They'll be fine. Besides, that means we'll have the whole evening to ourselves..." Yibo's voice trailed off.

"What am I going to wear?" he asked.

There was no answer.

"Yibo?" Zhan turned to find him asleep.

He reached over and traced his lips with his index finger. He didn't want to forget this moment. He wanted it etched in his
memory like a photograph.

Zhan never wanted to leave him. All he wanted was their life together. In reality,
however, Yibo was with another woman. Don't think about that now. He shut his eyes once more. This time sleep came easier, but his dream was disturbing.

He was sitting in the back of a church. The building did not look familiar, but Zhan knew he was at a wedding. He didn't recognize the people assembled, but he knew the groom. Yibo.

Zhan noticed by his attire, he was not the one looking like getting married. Then the congregation stood up as the music played.

They awed as the bride strolled down the aisle in her wedding dress, with "The Wedding March" playing in the background. Zhan stood stunned.

"No, I'm his husband!" He shouted.

His feet glued to the floor, keeping him from running to Yibo. He yelled again, but no one heard him.

It was as if he didn't exist. It was no use.

Tears trickled down his face as he watched.

"Yibo! Yibo no!" he hollered.

This time the crowd turned and
acknowledged him. When the bride snapped her fingers, security guards escorted Zhan towards the door. Though he kicked and screamed, the guards didn't desist until he noticed Yibo signaling
them to release him.

He pleaded.

"Yibo, please don't do this."

"Zhan, what are you doing here?" he asked, clearly taken aback by his presence.

"Yibo, what do you think you're doing?"

"Getting married."

He disagreed.

"You can't."

"This is the wrong time to be doing this, Zhan."

"Listen to me. This whole thing is wrong. Don't marry her; you'll be making a big mistake."

"Why is that?" Yibo inquired.

"You love me. You're supposed to be with me," Zhan whimpered.

"Zhan, it's over between us. Remember?" Yibo replied. He took his hands in his.

Zhan continued.

"It was a mistake. I should have said yes when you asked me to marry you. I was
scared, but I didn't mean to hurt you."

"Zhan—"

"Yibo I love—"

"Zhan, but it's over. I've moved on. I'm sorry," Yibo responded. He headed back to his bride.

Zhan gasped as his eyes popped open.

Yibo was still asleep beside him. He inched closer to him and exhaled deeply. It was only a dream, he thought, it was only a dream.
