A/N: this is a double update today. Read chapter 11 first.

Andi's POV

"Thank you so much, Luke, this will be a lot easier on me." I smile as he opens the door.

"No problem. Sierra is excited to meet you, and I am excited to meet this guy." He grins down at Kason who is nervously holding my hand.

"Hi. I'm Kason, are you mommy's friend?" He smiles.

"I am, my name is Luke." He crouches down so he is closer to Kason's height.

"Do you work with mommy?"

"Ya, we are going to write a cool song today. You wanna help?"

"I don't know how to write songs, I barely know how to read. I am only five." Kason giggles.

"Oh, really? Five is the perfect age you know." Luke grins.

"Why?"

"Because my dog, she loves five year olds." Luke whispers just as a dog comes around the corner, nails clicking against the hard wood floor.

I see Kason's eyes light up as he lays eyes on the pooch, running over to let her sniff him before petting her head excitedly. "I love dogs! What is your dogs name?"

"Her name is baked potato." I can't help but laugh as Ashton answers, appearing behind the dog from somewhere deeper in the house.

"Baked Potato?" Kason looks up at him skeptically.

"Her name is Petunia, Ashton is just being mean." Luke chuckles.

"Petunia is a much better name for her." Kason nods, "You are friends with my dad. I met you before." He says it casually, looking up at Ashton.

"I am. But he isn't here today." Ash looks over at me like he isn't quite sure what to say.

"I know. My daddy doesn't want me, so now I just have mommy. But that's okay because grandpa says I shouldn't want a dad who doesn't want me." Kason  shrugs.

"Well at least you have the best mommy in the whole world. And now you have us. Should we go into the living room so we can work on the new song?" Luke smiles at Kason.

"Mommy writes the best songs." Kason nods, encouraging Petunia to follow him as he follows Ashton.

"How are you holding up, Andi?" Luke asks, slinging an arm around my shoulders.

"It depends on the minute honestly." I sigh, leaning into him.

"Understandable. Sorry he's an ass."

"Not your fault."

"No, but I still feel bad, he is my bandmate and my friend. He shouldn't be hurting you like this."

"I have some wicked lyric ideas because of it though. And the irony of him singing a song that is about his stupidity is quite thrilling."

"Ya, that is pretty good. Lets get this song started." He laughs, showing me into the room Ashton and Kason already found.

"Can I play with your doggy all day?" Kason is grinning at Luke.

"Until your mom makes you go home. She will love all the attention." Luke chuckles.

"Yes! I want my own doggy but mommy hasn't let me get one yet."

"Why not?" Ashton gasps, turning from Kason to me.

"She says I have to be responsible first, so I help take care of Gizmo to learn. He is my uncles dog."

"Well she might be right. Dogs take a lot of work." Ashton smiles nicely.
