Doing It Wrong

Cake

            Tavi and Addison sat in their floor seats of the Atlanta convention center watching the basketball game that Rashad was attending. Tavi got a shirt made with her college colors on it that read ‘CAU Panthers’ on the front and ‘Allen #4’ on the back indicating that she was there for Rashad. She had Addison dressed in a simple white and red true religion shirt with jeans to match. They were both wearing the Carmen Jordan’s to top of both of their looks.

            Tavi had Addison in her lap as she clapped from all the excitement that was going on. There were a few camera crews recording for ESPN. The announcers were really loud of the speaker and the buzzers were just as loud.

            Intrigued into the game Tavi studied Rashad and how swiftly he moved with the ball. Although football was Tavi’s favorite sport, she’s enjoying watching her man show his talent on the court. Rashad stole the basketball from the GeorgiaState basketball team and dribbled it down the court shooting a three and making everyone in the crowd go crazy.

            “Say ‘yay’” Tavi told Addison while the announcers announced Rashad’s shot.

            “Yay” Addison repeated after her quietly making Tavi laugh.

            Addison has only said a few words and it was mostly only the sound of them. She was still trying to teach her how to talk with the help of Sandra who was extremely good with kids.

            Tavi kissed Addison on the cheek and went back to admiring Rashad and completely ignoring the game.

            Standing outside of the locker room Tavi switched Addison over to her other hip waiting for Rashad. She thought about putting her down but knew she would start running down the hall and she didn’t have the energy to chase after her.

            The double doors opened to the locker room and Tavi looked up from her phone expecting it to be Rashad but it was just another interview crew. She blew out a loud breath and stood up against the wall. After three minutes Rashad came out wearing his team tracksuit with a white towel around his neck. Tavi admired his looks and almost forgot that she had to introduce him to Addison.

            “Wassup” He said snapping her out of her thoughts.

            “Hey” Tavi smiled. “Good game”

            Clark Atlanta beat GeorgiaStates team by only a couple points but Rashad was the star of the game shooting three’s and making jump shots.

            He leaned in and gave her a kiss and to Tavi’s surprise Addison started to cry. It wasn’t the normal cry it was the tirade, screaming, and whaling cry.

            Rashad pulled away and Tavi looked at Addison in utter shock. “She’s never done this before!” She said trying to get Addison to calm down.
