“If you don’t hurry we’re going to be late, Jenny.” Connor groans irascibly.  “You look absolutely beautiful.  Don’t change a thing.”

I glared at him through the glass of the vanity also becoming irritated.  “Connor I’m almost ready can you not rush me?”

“Jenny I just want to get there on time,” he tells me and takes a seat next to me.  “And you look fine.”

“I look big.  Thanks to you my face looks like a round melon and my body looks like that of a walrus.”

“You don’t look like a walrus.”

“I look like a walrus. "

He sighs, placing both his hands on either sides of my body and leaning forward.  His eyes bore into mine with fanatical intensity. “You look like my wife and the mother of my children.  We’ve been married for almost 8 years and with each pregnancy you get more and more beautiful.” He smiled at me and then leaned back before he stood up and smoothed his hands over his suit jacket.

“It’s my 34th birthday I’m in the mood for celebration,” he says and holds one of his hands out for me to take. “The kids are waiting for us to say goodnight.”

“Did you tell Cleo thank you for watching them?”

“Yes I did.  Now come, my lady, your chariot awaits.”

I place my hand in his and he lifts my pregnant body from the seat.  I let out a sigh of tiredness, before a smile takes place on my face.  “My feet feel a lot better.”

“I’m glad that I could help.  I know how swollen they get.  If they start to hurt at any point of the night feel free to take a seat.” He turns around and begins to lead my out of our bedroom and down the stairs to the living room. As soon as they caught sight of us they jumped up happy to see us.

“Mommy,” Elizabeth crowed and raced over to where we were.  She wrapped her tiny arms around my waist and rests her head on my belly. She lifted her head to look at me and pouted.

“Mommy I don’t want you to go,” she says.

“Lizzie honey I’ll be back later. I won’t be long,” I tell her, softly petting her frazzled curls.

“Lizzie if you want we could watch a movie,” Cloe suggested and Elizabeth shook her head ferociously.  Connor bent down and smiled at the five year old who refused to let go of me.

“Lizzie how about if I promise to make you pancakes in the morning?” Connor offered her.

“With chocolate chips?”

“Yes with Chocolate chips,” he promised and kissed her on the cheek.  Elizabeth was a daddy’s girl and Connor was completely smitten by the charming five year old.  Turning away from the sentimental daddy-daughter scene, I let my eyes fall to Aria who was sitting back against the sofa with a coloring book in her hand.  Although she wanted to be a big girl and do things on her own amongst many other things she was still fond of coloring.   She had grown into a very beautiful girl and it melted my heart that she was growing up so fast.  Moving away from her I let my eyes settle on the twins, Thomas and Phillip who were both three now.  Surprisingly they were fast asleep on top of one other. I smile at the image and place my hand atop my rounded belly.  Connor had said we were going to have four more kids and he wasn’t kidding.  Ever since we got married I had gotten pregnant left and right.  I was starting to think our sex life needed a break.  I was now seven months pregnant with Elijah James Levi.   Even though I was sure we were done with having kids for a while it was more than likely that I was going to conceive again far down the line.  There was always room for more, Connor would always say when he had gotten word of each pregnancy.
