Connor's Pov

"What are you laughing at?" I demand,  anger radiating off of me.

"I'm laughing at this.   This entire dinner.  How can you be so stupid,  Connor?  Why on earth would you think I would approve of this.   Not only have you cheated on your pregnant wife,  you want to leave her for your whore.  Do you think I would condone this foolishness?"

I glance at Jennifer,  watching her reaction.   She seemed as though she wanted cry.   I hated to see her cry.

I slam my fist on the table, frightening both my mother and Jenny. "I don't care,  actually.  Your approval does nothing for me.  Your approval is just words,  meaningless words that don't matter.   l can really care less about anything that comes out of your mouth. " I was livid,  I was beyond livid and I just wanted to punch my father in the face.   I wanted to strangle him at this point.

I couldn't believe that he was actually being this against our relationship.

"I can't have a son or a king that's with some whore.   What kind of kingdom would that be? How can I trust you not to betray your own country if you can't stay faithful to your wife? You had one job,  Connor, one job!"

I stood up. "I don't care about that damn crown.  That crown does not define me!  I am me, I am in love. I love her, she's my soulmate.   If you care about me at all you'll support me.  I do not love Caitlyn,  I love someone else." I felt like I was pleading with him.  I felt like I was weak and he was more powerful.

I close my mouth,  reaching out to Jennifer.   She glanced at my hand before taking it.  She stood and without giving my father a second glance.  I needed to get out of England for a while,  just to cool off and come to terms with everything.   In order to do that in privacy I had to keep Jennifer's and I relationship a secret.   I didn't want the cameras or the publicity following us.  When we returned we could tell the world,  but right now was the perfect time to just get away.

I let go of her hand and turned to face her.  Surprising her,  I cup her cheeks and bring her face to mine to receive of sweet kiss.

I pull away,  caressing her cheek with my hand as I stare down at her.  "Let's get away.  I don't want too much attention on this situation, so I think we should go away to some remote location," I say softly.

"Where can we go?  The world knows that you're the prince.   There's nowhere we can go," she reminded me.

I sigh,  dropping my hand and casting my eyes towards a nearby wall thinking.   There had to be a place,  a way that we could get away.

"There's an island that my grandmother owns.   It's remote and isolated and the only people that will know that we're there are the staff.   They won't say anything.   Let's just go,  there won't be a need to pack up.  Let's just go. " I smile,  excited with the idea.

"But what about the kingdom and your parents and your -" I cut her off with a kiss, silencing her statement.   When I pulled away I glared down at her.

"We don't need to worry about them,  it's just you and I now." I took out my phone,  calling my driver.   He answered quickly and I gave him instructions before hanging up.   I look over at Jenny.

"Come on," I nod my head towards the entrance to the foyer.   She takes my hand and leaned into me, and we walked out of the hall and down the stairs.

As soon as we entered the large foyer she let go of my hand.   I glance around at the variety of faces in the room.   That hadn't noticed us quite yet, but they soon would.   I took her hand and looked at her.  I wasn't going to hide her,  she was my true love.   I gave her a crooked smile,  before I began to descend the stairs.   She stopped,  glancing around unsure.
