“What do you mean it’s about us?” I asked as he began typing on his cellphone.  I just watched him as he continued to press down harshly on the screen.

Finally, with a frustrated look he held up his phone so that I could look at it. On the screen was a picture of him and me talking and the captions. The prince having an affair with mystery lady? Who is she?

“This. You’re my new mistress, of course they would spin a kind gesture out of proportions,” he grumbled, snatching his phone away from my view.  I recognized the back ground of the picture as the airport and we were entering a car together.

“I’m …a… whore?” I exclaimed, but then quickly became quiet realizing my mother was asleep in the next room. “I can’t believe this.  Where did they get that extremely preposterous idea from?”

“Maybe they saw us kissing?”

“Impossible, it only happened places where cameras aren’t around.  It can’t be that.”

“We need to make this die down, you need to make this die down. You need to fix this.”

I sighed, and ran my finger across my forehead attempting to smooth the creases out. “Okay, I think I can come up with something.  I have to think on it, give me until tomorrow morning and I’ll call you.”

He stood and stretched quickly before leaning down and pecking me on the lips lightly. “I would like that very much, Jenny.” He smirked and backed away, walking out of my living room before I could muster up something to say.

I groaned letting my head fall back against the back of my couch.  Tomorrow was going to be a long day.

As soon as I opened my garage my small car was bombarded by the media. So this is how Monica felt?  Taking a deep breath I successfully maneuvered my way through the crowd of people and made my way to the Buckingham Palace.

As soon as I entered the grand foyer the queen was awaiting me.

“Jennifer.” She greeted with a stern look on her face.

“Queen,” I replied nodding my head.

She turned around and walked up the stairs and I took that as my cue to follow. I followed her into a large room, couches were circled around in the middle of the room and she offered me a seat.

I took a seat and looked at her expectantly.

“You know why I wanted to see you, I assume?” I watched as she cocked a brow and took a seat across from me.

“The newspaper article.”

“I know it is not true and you and the prince understand that it’s not true but the public does not understand that so we need to fix it.  Okay? That is what you are here for, to make these sorts of things go away.  Can you do that, dear?”

I offered her a smile, sitting back and folding my hands in my lap. “It’s already handled.  I’ve called the press and I am issuing a press conference. I have talked to my mother and she will not be able to vouch on our behalf but my brother and his pregnant wife will, so I think that should fix the problem at hand.  What I also think is that I shouldn’t work so closely to the prince to well avoid such a misinterpretation as this.”

The queen seemed as though she was thinking about what I had just suggested. She nodded slowly and then looked up at me.

“Okay that sounds…wonderful, but I can’t afford letting this spin out of control.  Connor is quite promiscuous but I have to hand it to him; he has never let it get out.  He has become a bit careless in his affairs.”
