athena knocked on her boyfriend's door, anxiously waiting for an answer.

the door finally opened, to reveal jack. he was shirtless with only basketball shorts on.

"oh, hey babe." he said as he hugged athena, then kissing her softly.

"baby, i need to tell you something." athena said as she hugged him once again, her head laying on his chest. she was listening to his heartbeat, which for some odd reason calmed her down a little bit.

"is something wrong?" jack asked, placing a kiss on athena's head.

"no-yes... i-i don't know." athena stuttered. "i'm going to college."

"that's amazing, love! i'm so pro-"

"in new york. with christina." athena looked at jack straight in the eyes.

"oh." jack scratched the back of his neck, not knowing what to say.

"i'm sorry, i understand if you want to break up with me, and it's totally fine."

"no way i would break up with your for that. i'm happy for you. and we'll make this work. i promise." jack smiled.

athena hugged jack once again as she started to tear up.

"i'll miss you."

"and i'll miss you too."
