at the screen
and pointed at
the girl on the screen
the myth
the legend
Alex Morgan
the girl that she
idolised
a big smile
was worn on her
angelic face
"I'm gonna
be just like
you, I
promise!"
ten years later,
little Melanie
was chosen for
the Manchester
United Football Club.
her little room
still had the same
poster of Alex Morgan
on top of her bed.
however, she
had many more different
posters, about new
myths, new legends,
and one of them were
her, wearing her
red kit proudly.
she didn't
become like
Alex Morgan,
she became a
walking legend,
like the great Pelé
from Brazil.
but most
importantly
she still played
the one game she
continued to fall
in love with
each and every
single day.
