There are many great videos about how to record a guitar properly. A planned, good recording makes a great mix or a great mix is the sum of great recordings and a good plan. I added the above video as I was finishing up the drafts left in this book in 2020. It wouldn't have been here in 2018 (when I first started writing this chapter). There are new ones coming all the time.
One thing is for sure: I really need to put more time onto this. There are many things to consider and questions I am searching answers for. New strings help, always!
Dynamic mics or condenser mics?
Aim them at the twelfth fret or not ?
