The Christmas party went well but I got home late and I am not up to par.

I read from Ester and Revelations in my daily Bible App .

I played guitar for a while, trying to learn a song and had a conversation with a dear sister (in Christ) in Scotland. Always so encouraging to speak with her and pray together through Messenger. Today we even took communion together.

Then I got right to my emails

If you want to know how to join CCLI or STIM read on

CCLI I have a lot to learn about all the paperwork involved in getting my music out to the masses. To join CCLI, I contacted the Sweden office and they sent my request to a head office that sent me a link wit h a contract to fill in. After filling in all my songs, when they were written and so on, I signed it digitally through DocuSign and then they sent me an acknowledgement mail with instructions to  create a profile at their Rights Portal and instructions as how to register the songs.

O.K. I just created a profile page on CCLI's homepage and registered Featherhead Media as my organisation. This is the portal where I will be uploading my songs, both lyrics, chords sheet music and mp3s. This is where churches and schools check out new music and look for ways to play it in Sweden and all over the world. I am now an official member! Yay!

Song Select: I looked around inside SS and saw that the older generation doesn't seem to have bothered to put their mp3s there and often don't include sheet music. The younger ones do. Is there any reason to withhold sheet music and mp3s from SS? Nope. How are people going to know what your music sounds like if they are not able to hear it at all? They could go to your homepage, but people are too lazy for that. But, what is good for Matt Redman is good for me - I intend to upload at least the choruses in mp3 format for each and every fully mastered song. I wish all Christian writers would have their stuff there, with sheet music and mp3s!

I am just getting started doing things professionally. A whole new world is opening up for me. I see that a great number of songwriters that I know haven't even added their songs yet. Hmmm.

I have so many questions...but the answers keep coming in.

STIM: I went to their homepage and filled out the form. Plain and simple. I can't get paid from streaming, licensing, downloads, record sales and live performances unless I am registered with STIM.

I am learning all this so I can help other musicians get their music out there too.

Here's a screen shot of the registration process on stim.se for users.

Our PC crashed and a great part of the day has been eaten up by trying to revive it. Good thing I have my Mac.

Gotta get some practical things done too today. Gotta go...
