I open my front door as i step inside closing it behind me.
Lydia and my mom were still at the School i think but i needed to be alone and think for a little while.
I've suddenly felt so stressed the past few days and i don't know why.
I instantly regret it but i pull my phone out my pocket, texting Brett, my go-to pick me up, guy.
We haven't spent as much time together as we used to.
me: Hey Brett, you busy?
Brett: never too busy for you sweetie ;) why?
me: cute, I'm feeling blue and lonely, suggestions?
Brett: dress to impress I'll be over in 20 :)
me: wait why
me: Brett
me: come back
me: fine
I put my phone away running upstairs to change.
I open my closet staring for a few minutes before grabbing a black velvet dress.
I change and add some black flats staring in the mirror.
All i can do is point out my flaws so i walk away and apply a thin layer of clear lip gloss.
I quickly straighten my hair letting it flow down my back.
The doorbell goes and i grab my phone before running downstairs and opening the door.
Brett looks up from his phone and smiles, he's wearing black skinny jeans and a green devenford prep hoodie with his number 28 on the front.
''Well don't you look pretty'' he says sweetly giving me a hug, kissing my cheek.
''That's what i was going for thank you'' i chuckle hugging him back and walk to his car.
''So can i know where we're going yet?'' i ask impatiently.
''A house..'' he trails off.
''A bit more?'' i ask laughing.
''House party..'' he says preparing for the worst.
I groan hitting his arm ''Brett no i can't do parties they're too much'' i cover my face nervously.
''Okay, okay, okay i know but i'll be there and i'll get you out if you need to leave but you'll have fun i promise pleasee'' he says laughing at me.
''Well i'm inviting someone then'' i negotiate.
''Deal, who?'' he asks smirking.
''A friend..on the team'' i say quietly.
''Fooling around with a player? scandalous'' he gasps dramatically.
