After awhile Cierra fell asleep so I started talking with corey and I've actually kind of grown to like him, he is funny and loves to make sex jokes

definitely my kinda guy.

"Okay dude the jigs up I know you like her, let me correct myself you love her" corey hands me a beer.

"Don't know what you're talking about" I take a sip of my beer trying to hide the grin on my face.

"Dude I may wear glasses but I'm not fucking blind, I think I have enough eye sight to know that you've got the hots for Cierra, not once has Judah Lewis ever stopped a fight, not even for his girlfriend and plus every time i look at you dude.. you're looking at her, you're whipped for this girl" he smiles

I break "You can't tell her.. or anyone for that matter" I can feel my cheeks get warm and it's getting more and more difficult to wipe the smile off my face as we sit here on this carpet floor while Cierra is fast asleep on the couch next to us.

"Why not" he takes sip a of his beer

"Loooong story" i sigh

"We'll give me the short version

I can't tell him the real reason why for obvious reasons "she deserves better than me" I look down at my jeans

"Dude life is way too short for this kiddy bullshit" corey sits a little closer to me and I roll my eyes.

"Just tell her how you feel man I know it's not easy but trust me after you tell her at least it'll be off your chest" He looks at me

"Life is full of fuck ups and mistakes but the last thing you want are regrets. You don't want be on your death bed someday saying 'oh man I wish I told her how I felt' just do it now and let the chips fall where they may" he nudges me to the side a bit with his shoulder.

"What if she doesn't like me back? she's not like every other girl corey- I've only known her for 2 weeks and I can tell that she's different I see her at school all the time and she's the only girl thats never swooned over me, she's the only girl thats never fell at my feet and that's just one of the things that makes her special " I sigh putting a hand through my hair

for once in my life I'm serious about a girl I just don't know how I'm feeling like.. I can't exactly pinpoint it, I've heard of love at first sight but maybe it's not exactly what it's made out to be. What if love at first sight is actually seeing who a person is for the very first time and falling in love with them and who they are.

I-I can't love her, right?

"Dude you got this okay just wake her up and take her for a walk.. here's my number and just text me when you guys are on your way back to the house so I can let you in" he says with a smile

"Dude?" I look over at him

"whats u-" I pull him into a hug

"No ones ever looked out for me, thank you I'll make sure you are the uuuh most popular guy in school by tuesday" I get up and walk over to a sleeping Cierra

god she looks so peaceful.

"Well shit, T-thanks" coreys says pumped
