That's the Ariana I remember. A stubborn little drama queen. . . ok . . she wants an answer? I'm gonna give her an answer . . . I put the math book on the coffee table and look her right in the eye.
"Ok . . all jokes aside . . you want a serious answer and I'm gonna give you one"
"Thanks. . yes or no, I don't care, I'm just curious"
"Alright . . . my current situation is . . I'm actually married"
She almost chokes on a piece of biscotti. "M, Married?! you're married?"
I show her the ring on my finger . . . the look on her face is priceless.
"Wow . . blue diamond . . looks really fancy . . . well, I'm happy for you. . ."
"You are?" . . I smile
"Yes, I mean . . SHE's a lucky girl . . whoever she is:)"
"Hehe . . . it's actually a HE"
"What?!. . . you're, you're freakin GAY?!"
I laugh out loud . .
"His name is Ricky and he's 4 years old! *laughs* . . this blue diamond is plastic . . he's my sister's son . . I'm wearing it because I'm stopping by her house later today . . he'd be pretty darn upset if I stopped by there not wearing it. . . . your reaction was just priceless"
"Wow, That was MEAN . . really . . I can't picture you gay . . never in a million years"
"Well, it was a joke:)"
"My heart literally stopped beating for like 3 seconds"
"Haha"
"How about you? . . what's your situation, Ariana?"
"Actually . . I just got out of a relantionship . ."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that . . ."
"It's ok . . I'm over it . . looking out for something better . . ."
"Good . . that's a good thing to do . . only settle for the best"
"I definitely will . . ."
I look at my watch . . uhhh . . it's time for me to leave. I have to be at my sister's place in about 30 minutes. She's gonna give me her suitcase for my Vegas vacaton in 3 days. I'm so excited. My buddies and I have been waiting for this trip since forever . . . my 3 best buddies all have wifes and kids, so . . it's hard for us all to find time at the same time . . but it all worked out and I'm very excited.
"It was really nice catching up with you Ariana . . I have to go now"
"Aww . . . that's too bad . . . already?"
"Yea, I need to get my stuff ready for my vacation"
"Vacation? cool :) where you are guys going? . . Hawaii?"
"Vegas . . I've been there like 8 years ago . . it's time to go back:)"
"Cool . . I wish you all the fun in the world"
"Thank you :) . . alright . . I guess I'll be going now! thanks so much for inviting me, I had a blast catching up and everyting . . be well and take care :) I hope we run into each other again soon"
"That'd be great, I had fun catching up too . . thanks so much for coming!"

3 days later . . .
I can still hear his words in my mind ''I hope we run into each other again soon" . . That sounds pretty damn clear to me . . he wants to see me again . . and I wanna see him again too! . . and I will . . sooner than he thinks :) . .
The old woman types something on her computer, then looks at me smiling.
"You're in luck! there actually is one last seat available on our last flight to Vegas!"
