Chapter 31 - Grasp

Mina's POV - Flashback to middle school.

"Just date my cousin, Sana. Dating with your best friend, isn't it a great idea? As you can see, he's so handsome, and he's smart as well. Well, I admit that sometimes he's overconfident, but it's only because he's damn smart" Yes, we girls always talk about him a bit when he's not around. 

"I am sorry, Mina, Jae is handsome?" Jihyo then question my statement

"Yes!"

"I would rather date your Oppa, Mina" Sana then tells me.

"Oh Sana, please. Takuya Oppa is an utter geek, you can't be with him at all" Jihyo says.

"But he's handsome, right Mina?"

I and Jihyo could only stare at Sana, and making a disgusting face together,  this girl's taste is weird.

"Handsome, my foot!" Jihyo says.

"YA! YA! He's still my brother, YA!" I defend my brother even though I know that he's a geek himself.

I don't know why I insisted to make Sana and Jae a couple. This past year I already tired of her stories, dating some jerk boy. Well, actually Sana is actually a jerk as well. Sometimes I was so tired look at her crying over these boys. They aren't worth at all. But then a month later she dated another guy. Sana and her man-eater personality, nothing could stop her even though we're just a middle schooler.

I don't know why we all are a best friend. Sana, Jihyo, Me and the other one my cousin Jae. Jae has always been my rocks since the first time I landed on this school, she protected me like a little sister tho sometimes I am way more mature. I immediately close with Jihyo, my class president at that time. She helped me adjusting to things, and being so understandable as my Korean was so so bad. Aside from being class president, she's also a cheerleader at this school, she's famous to have a kind heart. Yeah, of course, she's so kind, because up until now we're still so close despite our different nationality.

Then, there's Sana, another girl from Japan. She shared the same story as mine, her families moved to South Korea as well since she was 9. Of course, her Korean is way-way better than me. She's a very very beautiful woman, sometimes my heart skips a beat when she pushes her hair back. Everyone knows that she's a player. Jihyo, Jae and I always think differently tho, Sana isn't a player at all, she just can't live alone. She always needs someone to accompany her. Since childhood, her parents always travel for business. So we understand why she's like this.

Then there's also Jae. My cousin, it's somehow people looking at us weirdly because Jae is the only guys in our friendship. People sometimes mistook Jae as a gay man because of us. Because what kind of boy who spends time times with 3 girls, it's either he's a jerk or he's a queer. Jae always laughs at the accusation. Jae didn't even care. Everyone knows as well that he's a lead guitar in the school band.Every time we saw him on stage all girls screamed for him. We never like actually tell ourselves that we are best friends or something. We just play together at first, since I lived with Jae, Sana and Jihyo always played in our house as well, then it became our routine to spend time in our home. Little did I know, it's been 3 years.

It's always funny to hear stories where Jae been questioned about his sexuality because of us. I could only laugh at him, while I hide something big inside myself alone. 

I know that I am gay since I was a little. I realized that I am more interested in AKB48 than other boy groups. Since my brother also a big fans, we both collect things together. I think my first love is Atsuko Maeda. I really love her, even until now I think. She's so so beautiful. Never in my mind, I think about boys. I knew since I was little that my hearts skips a bit when we had to change for sports uniform in school. I knew that I am interested in girls, not boys.
