39: A Legend

Catherine glanced at her purse once more. This time, Renee noticed, "Hey, what's going on?", Catherine sighed, "I got a movie deal. A trilogy. I don't know if I should take it or not.", Renee tilted her head, "Why wouldn't you take it?", Catherine glanced up, "I don't want to leave, not right now.", Renee nodded, "Okay, well. How long do you have to figure it out?", Catherine grabbed the script for the first movie, "By tomorrow, if I want it the I'll fly out Thursday and be gone for 5 months. I'll get to come back every 2 weeks though. So my storyline with Rousey won't be fucked.", Renee chuckled, "Okay, and then what?", Catherine turned, "Then I'll come home for 11 months, then I'll leave again for 4 months to film the second film, and then come home for 8 months, and then leave again for 6 months for the last one.", Renee nodded, "What does Finn think?", Catherine swallowed, "I've not told him yet, or Davina. She would get to go with me to set if I take it and she'll get to come back when I do. I just wanted to look at my options.", Renee nodded, "Well, that's only something you can decide, with your family. We have 20 minutes until you open Raw, you best hurry.", Catherine nodded and went to find her husband.

Finn glanced at Seth, "She's hiding something man. I don't know what, but she is.", Seth sighed, "What if she's pregnant?", Finn shook his head, "No, she would have told me that. This is something else. Should I be worried?", Seth shook his head, "No, Catherine likes to look at things herself for a while before bringing them forward to anyone else and she'll talk to one of the girls first, probably Renee. She'll come to you next.", a slight knock sounded on the door and they looked up, "Hey, can I talk to you?", Seth stood up and walked away, giving Catherine a smile and she smiled back. She walked in and closed the door. She sat down by Finn and rested her head on his shoulder. She set the script for the first movie on his lap and then the scheduling for the whole thing. He read over it and glanced at her, "This would be an awesome deal, Cat.", she softly smiled, "I know, but I've never done anything but wrestle. I don't want to leave. Finn, that schedule is if things don't go wrong. Some of the stunts they're wanting some of us to do could go horribly wrong.", he glanced at her and kissed her head, "This is your decision, Cat, and I will support you no matter what you decide.", she nodded and glanced at the script and then looked at the wall, "I'm getting a push, well, a bigger one.", Finn glanced at her, "Against Ronda. I'm the wall between her and instant stardom here. Noone else was asked, I was top pick.", she glanced at the script, "3 other girls got this script besides me.", she turned, "I'm staying home with you. I don't need to be on a big movie screen right now. I got another script.", she handed it to him, "For a Netflix movie that doesn't start filming until later year sometime. I have enough time to finish this storyline and figure out how to fake an injury so I'm only gone 4 months.", Finn nodded, "Well then, you've got your mind made up.", she nodded, "My minds made up.", she stood up and Finn went with her.

Catherine quietly knocked on Hunter's door with the two scripts in her hand, "Ah, there she is. What did you decide?", she smiled, "Why leave for over a year filming a dumb movie when in a year here, I can crush someone's hopes and dreams?", Hunter laughed and she smiled, he trashed the trilogy script and she handed him the Netflix script, "Good choice.", she winked and looked at the time, "I have a segment to do. I'll see you guys afterwards.", they nodded and Catherine went to the gorilla, her music hitting and she walked out, mad. Corey raised an eyebrow, "Catherine is madder than a hornet trapped in a soda can.", Catherine hid her smile and laugh. Corey knew he'd get playfully hit in a bit. She slid into the ring and paced as a guy handed her a microphone. She rolled her lips and raised her eyebrow. The crowd grew quiet as she crossed her arms over her chest and held the mic up, people snapping pictures and tagging Phil in them for comparisons. She glanced around before she spoke. "I got to get something off my chest.", she paced a bit before she took a seat in the middle of the ring, her legs crossed and she laid over them so she was flat. Corey shaking his head. "Last night, we had a massive historical match, the first Women's Royal Rumble, congratulations to Asuka for winning.", the crowd cheered and she smiled, "Exactly! It deserves your praise!", she moved her legs and stood up, "But it got overshadowed by a girl who couldn't stand to get her ass kicked.", she spit out the sentence and Corey's eyes widened, "Ronda Rousey.", she snorted, "Ran to WWE after her ass got stomped twice and everyone realized she wasn't as good as she said she was.", she laughed and shook her head, "She ran here.", she pointed to the ring and turned, "And then, pointed there.", and then she pointed to the WrestleMania sign, "Wearing a legend's jacket.", she shook her head, "A late legend's jacket. She had no right to that.", she stopped and the crowd was silent, "She ran here, showcasing that she's as good as a legend, without speaking, without making an actual move, and pointed to the grandest stage of them all! Not on my watch, bitch!", the crowd cheered, "Not happening. If it was up to me, you'd be down in development. You aren't a wrestler. You're a sore loser.", she glanced at the ramp and then around her, "And I proved that you can't handle being here, last night. If you're so great than why didn't you even think of being attacked by one of the women that weren't in the ring?", she laughed, "Even our rookies know that. Hell, my daughter knows that.", the crowd cheered as Catherine moved around the ring, "I mean, my father, Shawn Michaels, is my hero. In my eyes he is a legend. But guess what, even I had to crawl up the ranks to be where I am today. I lost a match to Summer Rae, because of Fandango and Rosa Mendes but you don't see me running to Impact or TNA do you? No. Because I know that this is heard and I can never just expect a win because of who I am. I've done great things, amazing things, but I'm not better than all the women I work with. Noone is better than anyone. You can't come into this ring and demand a mega match, no matter your name, your family, or your status. I also proved that last night, when I eliminated Nikki Bella. Yes, she's with John Cena and one of my best friends, but I'll be damned if she gets handed a match at WrestleMania against Charlotte or Alexa. She didn't deserve it. She deserved to be in the match, I did to. She was going to eliminate her own sister instead of having her twin work with her to eliminate Asuka. What kind of jealous, self-absorbed plan was that Nikki? Good grief, use your brain for once.", she shook her head, "I'm going to tell little miss Rousey this, right now, you may think this is all easy but I'm going to be the Cement wall between you and WrestleMania because you don't deserve to be there. Especially not when you aren't even officially signed to work here yet.", she dropped her microphone and exited the ring as she walked up the ramp and disappeared behind the gorilla. Hunter smirked at her and she got embraced in a hug. "That was amazing.", she smiled, "Thank you, Uncle Hunter.", Stephanie ran in and smiled, "Perfect job, Cat.", Catherine smiled and went backstage, the group clapping and the girls hugging her. Renee walked over, "Amazing job, Catherine.", and they hugged, "So you didn't take the movie?", Catherine smiled, "I took a movie but not the trilogy. I don't leave until September and I'll be back in January.", Renee nodded and they went back to making the show. Catherine snuck around the stage and ended up behind Corey, and she gave him a playful punch, he chuckled and she smiled. She hugged the men at the table and went back to the back. Finn smiling as he seen her and Roman and Seth laughing, "Damn girl. You tell her.", Catherine laughed and the group sat down and talked. She glanced around catering and smiled. This is her home, this is where she belongs. She looked at Finn and smiled, giving him a kiss on the cheek. He grinned and smiled, "What was that for?", she smiled, "I love you, that's all.", he smiled and kissed her, "I love you too.", she smiled, "To the moon and back.", he smiled, "The distance between stars.", she laid her head on his shoulder again and the table of friends was smiling at the couple. They rolled their eyes and Catherine's phone rang, and she answered it. "Hey Dad.", she smiled and the group of Roman, Seth, Finn, Renee, Alexa, Nia, Bayley, Sasha, Luke, and Karl smiled at her as she talked to her dad. They all agreed, if there was anyone that deserved something more than anyone else, it was Catherine Balor. In their eyes, she was a legend. She was a queen and Finn Balor was her king.
