She didn't know he was the devil even though his name hinted on it strongly. Now she is his assassin. Oh. The dangerous life of an assassin.

After several minutes of whispering her name and thowing sand stones at her window , Zuri finally stumbled out of bed and opened the window to see who it was. Gemma waved at her and signalled she wanted to come in. the night was still unusually quiet and calm. Zuri flung uot a thick rope for Gemma to climb into her cool candlelit room.
"Thanks hey" she whisperd to her best friend/doopleganger
"Anytime hey" Zuris voice was hoarse.
"I have'nt seen you at school lately, whats wrong?" she worried
"I was and still am down with the flu" Gemma sensed athick layer of lyes in her voice
"Dont lie to me" Gemma stated, growing more serious as word escaped her mouth
"Im not lying, honestly" she pressed as she sat on her large double bed shortly followed by Gemma.
"Zuri, we have been together for 3 years and I can tell you ARE lying" she sighed, lokking into Zuris jade green eyes holding hands
"Ok then but I'll tell you in the morning, please?" she begged , yearning for sleep.
"And you are telling me the whole truth, you know that i worry about you, hey?" she sighed
"I worry about you too Gemma but...-" she stopped mid-sentence.
"But what?" she asked
"I have a lot on my mind lately?"
" What is it, is it Cavendish again?"
She shrugged the question off and avoided her gaze. Crawling back into the covers with her thigh high jade green night gown and died to wake in her land of dark dreams that haunt her night by night. Gemma sighed and took off her clothes as well sleping only with her bra and underwear.
Morning chased away night, knocking on the bedroom windows like an impatient guest. Its rays penetrating through Zuris dark green closed cutains giving the room its dark appeal. They both stumbled out of ben with sleep still lingering in their eyes. Zuri slowly opened the door to check for her dad, nothing , Mr Nyx was still drooling in bed. They crept out onto the light contaminated corridors and into the bathroom. The wooden door let put a loud sqeak as Zuri caressed its flowrly carvings, lightly stepping onto the stone cold tiles of the bathroom, tailed by Gemma. After locking the door, Zuri twisted the silver faucet and letting the warm shower water gush out.
"So, you ready?" Gemma asked, her voice soft. Zuri inhaled deeply, inhaling the warm steam the water was producing.
"I was out at night, on an assignment Cavendish said was cricial-" her voice was a low whisper, the sound of cascading water nealy drowned her words
"Why hadn't he called me?" she interupted
"I dont know, please dont interupt this is hard..." the two young adults entered the shower

FLASHBACK
The trek back home was along and gruesome one, thats the way Zuri felt after P.E in the last period ceriously murdered her legs. The golden globe in the sky emitted its summmer heat relentlessly that day. Her bag sagged , made heavy by her physics and life science text books. Dragging her feet across the heat absorbing pavement, slowly like she was zombified, hear ears picked up nothing but the sound of passing cars.... WAIT.... there was more , a light clip clop behind her.
She spun around so fast she almost crashed into the horses long face. The horse stopped and snorted in Zuris face. ITS dark coat and eyes blending in with its riders cloak and gear. He produced an orange and black madelion with a picture of a tiger and thrusted it into her face

She snatched it from him releasing a sharp gasp. Zuris face turned into one of anger
"WHAT DID YOU DO YO HIM!" She blurted out, tears brimming her eyes
"I can revert him, if you do this for me" he instructed her. pushing ot a crumpled paper
"Caverndish, why are you doing this?" she asked now on her knees, giving in to the weight of her bag and the thouhgt of loosing SHADOW.
"Its the only way i know you'll do this assignment correctly and completly" he replied.
" What if i dont"
" THEN ... you can explain it to your tiger in the after life" he said under his hood which hid his face. He laughed.
The dark horse turned at the masters command, "And Zuri... dont involve or tell Gemma or else Shadow will become a part of your jewelery collection. The warrior and his dark horse hit the road, Zuri still on the hot pavement glancing at the madalion unblinkingly. She felt cracks develope in her heart and the tears flowing out with no control. She wiped her tears with the back of her hand and scowled
"I'LL REDEEM YOU SHADOW, EVEN IF ITS THE LAST HTING I DO!"
