~ Kaiden's POV ~

School holidays had started, everyone was so happy to be away from the hell known as Westfield High. I laid in my room, flicking through channels while yawning. The holidays have only just begun and I'm already bored.

"Kaiden! Look!" Lucy barrelled her way into my room, no knocking or anything polite. I groaned,

"What?"
She bounced on the bed, squashing my organs into my mouth, and ripped open the curtain.

"It's snowing! It's snowing!" She cheered happily as I nearly died from the light and my sister.

"Uh-huh, it's been like that for a while" I said kicking her off me. She plopped on the bed and looked up at me with her 'needy face'. This face can kill anyone, with bright eyes looking up through her lashes shyly and her lip stick out in a slight pout. She tilted her head slightly and softened her face. When she grows up, she'll get whatever she wants. I groaned loudly,

"Spit it out, what do you want?"

"I wanna see Felix" she said happily,
"I wanna play with him in the snow"

"I think he hates the cold"
Lucy shrugged and ran off anyway. I sighed, reaching over at my phone to ring Felix. He didn't pick up, it was 2 in the afternoon so he should at least be awake if not out of bed. Lucy trotted back with her bright pink coat on and snow boots. I sighed, straightening her beanie before dressing myself into something warm.

"Your father put some snow tires on your car Kaiden!" My mum called. I thanked her, grabbing my keys and entering the cold outside. Lucy buckled herself in and I backed out the driveway, putting on the radio.

".... Citizens are warned to be careful on the icy roads. Officer Smith has stated that everyone stays safe but enjoys the holidays" a news reporter came on.

"That's daddy!" Lucy said happily, I nodded.

"That is indeed our dad"

"Do you want to be a police officer like him?" Lucy asked, I raised my eyebrow.

"What made you say that?" I asked. She shrugged,

"Some boys in my daycare said that they want to be like their daddies" she said. I shook my head,

"Sorry sweetie, I'd prefer to make my own steps rather then follow in someone else's"
She had a puzzled expression on her face but soon forgot it as the radio played a song she knew. I pulled up at Felix's apartment, noticing his bike still there. Nikki sat in her usual spot, chain smoking like usual.

"Heya Kaiden" She chirped when seeing me,
"And.... Lucy?"
Lucy nodded happily.

"Is Felix at home?" I asked, Nikki shrugged.

"I haven't checked on him since he first moved, and that was only because he was 15" She said, taking a puff of a cigarette.
"The only other person was a dapper looking man"

"Do you know who?" I asked, she shock her head.

"Nope, but he does pop his sexy head in from time to time. He also brings treats too" She fawned. I rolled my eyes before travelling up the stairs to Felix's apartment. I could hear Felix's muffled voice from outside the door. I paused my hand from knocking,

"What are you chewing on?.... No! Don't chew faster!"
I scrunched my eyebrows, confused on what he was talking about. I knocked on the door and everything fell silent, Felix's head popped out through a small crack in the door he opened.

"Oh, it's you. Give me a second" he said, shutting the door in my face again. I heard him stomping around before the door opened again. Lucy's squeal pierced my brain before I could register what Felix was holding.
