~ Kaiden's POV ~

School wasn't something I needed, it was something that was required. After a quick make out session in the janitors closet and a late start to English, it was finally lunch time. Making my way to the canteen, I found the bustling and loud area to be comforting. My friends sat at a large table directly in the middle, the centre of attention. I grabbed some food before sitting at the table. Skye looked at my tray and wrinkled her dainty button nose.

"Do you know how many calories are in that greasy shit?" She asked glaring at the lasagne and garlic bread they were serving today.

"Don't know, don't care" I answered giving her a sweet smile. She rolled her eyes, turning back to her many friends. I guess you would call our relationship 'on again, off again dating'. Sometimes you'd see her sitting in my lap, eating my face and practically begging for it while other times she sits far away from me making snide comments. I felt someone slid into the chair next to me, not surprised to see my best friend with a bowl of salad.

"Hey Braydon"
He also glared at my lunch,

"Oh shut up" I snapped before he could say anything,
"You and your stupid diets" I muttered eating a piece of garlic bread in one bite. He visible winced, Skye turned her attention to Braydon

"I know right? So foul..." she said smiling at him.
"Can I have a bite?" I moved away to throw away my rubbish as Braydon fed her a leaf of lettuce.

"Rabbit food" I muttered to myself, placing my tray on the top. The bell rang, it was the last session of the day. I made my way to the gym with Braydon. It was practically empty, Braydon chucked a basketball at me.

"Come on" he taunted,
"One on one" we began playing, I didn't realise that the other students began to fill in the bleachers.

"Alright boys, that's enough!" The coach, Mr Allens, called. We took a seat on the bleachers, a pair of giggling girls shifting over.

"Hey" she smiled, Braydon put on his charming playboy smile.

"Hello girls, you coming to practice tonight?" He asked, they giggled again.

"Of course we are, Skye's on our backs about practice" one rolled her eyes. Skye was captain of the cheer squad who practice when we do. Mr Allens told us to get changed, we waved good bye to the girls and went into the locker room.

"Look" Braydon scoffed, nodding to a boy shutting the toilet door.
"Nerd is self conscious about his wimpy body" I rolled my eyes, changing into the crappy gym uniform and making my way out. We were spilt in two sides, mine and Braydon's. We began choosing names for our team. Soon, a handful of people were left including the nerd in the bathroom.

"You in the glasses" I said pointing to him,
"I don't know you name" he trudged on court looking bored. He stood a bit farther back from the rest of the team, Braydon snickered

"Good luck" he taunted. I smiled at him,

"You too, you're going to need it"
Mr Allens blew his whistle and the game began. I passed the ball with ease, shooting it in the hoop for our first point.
The game wore on, we were in the lead while Braydon's team struggled.

"What's wrong team captain?" I taunted,
"Tired already?" He was breathing heavily.

"Not even close" he said chest passing the ball straight at the nerds face with enough force to knock him on the ground. The sharp sound of a whistle rang through the air.
