I Fell In Love With Him While He Was In A Coma (Chapter21)

"JAYLEEN!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining. They would always shine like this when he was surprised and happy. How dare he be happy to see me?! He left me!

I pulled back, took a deep breath, I looked at him straight in the eye and slapped him as hard as I could. He stumbled back and rubbed his cheek with a smile!

I grabbed my purse and started to walk away as fast as I could. I thought he didn't live here anymore! What is he doing here and why the hell does he look so happy?! He left me! 

I felt heavy foot steps behind me. He's following me!

"Jay, wait a sec!" he pleaded behind me. He grabbed my forearm and stopped me from leaving. Does he think I want to see him?!

"What the fuck do you want?!" I snapped and pulled my arm back. I can't stand to be near him. He gave me a sad look, the look he always had when he was deeply upset. Why do I have to remember his perks, expressions!

"Jayleen, I've missed you so much," he whispered giving me those big brown eyes that always made me weak. Always made my heart swell in love for him. Honestly, I missed him too... But I hate him. 

"Oh please!" I shouted at him and turned around. I need to be away from him. I should have been in NY right now with Ayden. Oh Ayden... I got another pain in my chest just thinking about him. 

"Jaybear please, let me explain," he pleaded behind me. Explain?! I already know what happened, he ditched me two weeks before our wedding. I don't need anymore explanation than didn't want to be with me. We could have been together right now. Happy. 

But my heart long to be with someone in NY. BUT.. He's getting married. How ironic. Kyler probably left me for someone too. 

"I don't wanna hear anything from you, Kyler!" I tried sounding stern but hearing my old nickname made me a bit weak. All these memories coming back to me. 

"Jaybear, let me explain," he kept pleading while I tried to open my car door. I ignored him and got in. 

"Jayleen, please, let me explain what happened," he repeated. I don't want to hear his explanation. I started my engine but he went in front so I couldn't move anywhere. I groaned in annoyance and tried to go another way, but he kept moving.

"Just listen to me!" he exclaimed from the front of the car. 

"Why don't you just leave me alone?!" I pleaded. I got this ache in my chest watching his face crumple with pain. 

"Jayleen, just let me explain," he whispered. I took a deep breath. Do I really want to know why he left me? Would it make me feel worse? How much worse can I get? I lost Ayden, there's nothing more I wanted. 

"Follow my car," I whispered to him.

"You won't drive off will you?" he asked with caution. I nodded, actually thinking about if. He nodded and ran off. I couldn't help myself from thinking how attractive he still was. 

In the next minute he was right behind me. I started driving with him on my tail. I got to my condo and parked outside. He did the same.

"Isn't it weird? I live like 15 minutes from here," he said walking next to me. I rolled my eyes. Just what I needed. 

"Very weird," I said and walked in. I sat right away with him across from me. He started to look nervous. 

"Jayleen, do you remember Bryan?" he asked.

"Your best friend?" I asked confused. What does this have to do with anything?

"He's the reason why we're not together right now," he said, looked pained.
