2AM were originally supposed to debut as an 11 member group called One Day with 2PM, but they ended up debuting separately. All members except Changmin appeared on a documentary called Hot Blood that documented their training program and pre-debut days. Originally Jinwoon was eliminated but he ended up in 2AM because Daehun withdrew from JYP. 

In 2010, they represented Asia on Listen Up! The Official 2010 Fifa World Cup Album and in October they represented Korea when performing at the 7th Asia Song Festival. In 2012, they were the first ever K-Pop idol group to perform at the Tokyo Bunkamura Orchard Hall and they were also appointed as ambassadors for the World Conservation Congress. After the expiration of their contracts in 2015, the members went separate ways in terms of their agencies, however 2AM did not disband at that time. Jokwon renewed his contract with JYP but Seulong and Jinwoon both left JYP to join another agency that would allow them to focus more on acting. Seulong signed with SidusHQ and Jinwoon with Mystic Entertainment. Changmin signed with Big Hit Entertainment (which he later left to establish his own agency). On September 22, 2017 Jokwon left JYP and signed with Cube Entertainment. It is uncertain whether 2AM has disbanded or not.
