Henry is a member of Super Junior-M but he does not promote in Super Junior's activities if they aren't Mandarin. Henry was scouted by SM at the 2006 SM Entertainment Global Auditions in Toronto. Only two people, including himself, out of 3000 were recruited through the audition. He attended the University of Toronto briefly in 2007. He is part of a composing team called NoizeBank, which is also a production team consisting of Gen Neo, Neil Nallas, Isaac Han and himself. Together they produced Go and It's You from Super Junior-M's Break Down album and several songs from Henry's Trap and Fantastic album. In 2010 he went on hiatus to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has composed many of Super Junior's songs with their leader Leeteuk. When he released Trap he became SM's first male solo artist in 13 years.
