SS501's Kyujong suggested naming them Rainbow since they are a seven member group. Each member is assigned a specific colour of the rainbow, since there are seven members and seven colours of the rainbow. Their fan club name means their fans will support Rainbow members until (and after) they shine brightly. In 2010 they released "Not Your Girl" in response to SS501's " U R Man". Then in 2014, Rainbow Blaxx debuted with "Cha Cha" and the music video became the fourth-most viewed K-pop music globally in January 2014. The group disbanded in October 2016 after the expiration of their contract with DSP Media. All Rainbow members went on a trip to Malaysia together as a farewell.
