Sunmi is a solo artist and former member of JYP's girl group Wonder Girls. She debuted with Wonder Girls as their vocalist. She took a break from music in 2010 to pursue an academic career. In January 2012 JYP said she would be remaining within the company to "sharpen her musical talents" but she would not return as a member of Wonder Girls. She debuted as a solo artist in 2013 with 24 Hours which ranked #1 on most of the major music sites in Korea.
