"Isn't it odd?" Katie asked, swinging her legs. She looked down at the lake below the cliff she was sitting on the edge of. She was wearing a pale turquoise dress with a dark blue ribbon tied around her waist. A soft breeze was blowing and her short hair was flowing freely around her face. It was a clear night, and the only things in the sky were the moon and stars.

Keith was sitting beside her, wearing a black suit. "What?"

"You always wear black when we meet here, and yet, you always wear his color as well." The teen girl gestured to his tie, a bright blue that matched the ocean.

"Tch."

Katie laughed. "And even though you kissed him, you told him it was a dream. Then what is this? Is it not a dream?" She gestured her arms toward the sky. She stood up, turning around so her back was facing the edge. Katie looked him in the eye and smiled. "Then could I do this?" She took a step back and plummeted off the edge of the cliff.

"Katie!" Keith leaned over the edge and looked down.

She flew up laughing on glowing, green wings. "See? It's all in your head, silly," she smiled. Katie grabbed Keith's hand and pulled him into a standing position. "Grow your wings, Keith," she smiled softly.

Red wings blossomed from his back, growing until they were large enough to support him. Now, the two of them didn't have wings, per se. There were no bones growing out of their backs. You would only be able to see the glowing outlines of feathers, red and green.

"Take a leap of faith," she laughed again. "Literally."

Keith stepped off the cliff's edge, staying at the same height. He was neither flying higher nor falling. "What am I putting my faith in?" He asked quietly, "What the heck am I supposed to be doing?"

"Wow, man, you really need this much help?" Katie flew backwards so her body was flat, facing toward the sky. She turned her head towards him and smiled. "Lance. Have faith in him." She reached an arm out, pointing at him. "Have faith, Keith." She poked his forehead and everything was gone.
