"What's the stupidest thing you've ever done?" Keith asked.
Lance thought for a moment, "Probably that time when I threw Pidge's favorite sweater in a tree so it was out of hi- her reach. She stole all of my pants and threw them in an underground bunker she found."
"An underground bunker?!" Keith yelled in surprise.
"Yeah," Lance nodded. "Okay, uh, what's your favorite food?"
"Chicken nuggets," Keith said without missing a beat. "How long have you known Katie?"
"Since the beginning of this school year..." Lance quickly answered. "How the heck did you end up with Takashi Shirogane as your adopted brother?"
"I don't know. It just happened," Keith said. "Uh, who do you like?"
"Really?" Lance rolled his eyes.
Keith shrugged, "I couldn't think of anything else."
"Well, no one currently," Lance answered. "Uh... what's your sexual orientation?"
Keith was silent for a moment, "I- I don't want to talk about it."
Lance paled slightly, realizing that he had stepped over the line he hadn't known was there.
"Lance! Keith!" María yelled, "Dinner's ready!"
