Chapter 34: Candor and Pledge

'Should I confront him or not?'

That's the only thing that's running in my head, weighing the consequences. Many what ifs' are infiltrating my head.

"We're here" Hiro said when we stopped.

I can here cars passing us. We're in the public library.

"It's my off today" I said.

"Really? I don't know, sorry. Where do you want to go?" he asked.

"I-" I can't do it. I don't want to be lied, but I also don't want to lose him.

I got off and gave him the helmet. "I'll just, stay here for a while, see you tomorrow"

I'm about to turn when Hiro stopped me by grabbing my arm.

"Did you cry?" he asked.

Uh-oh. Maybe my eyes are still red from crying.

I pulled my arm away. "Just go"then I turn around.

Hiro got off from his bike and stopped me. "What's wrong? Did that Andrew did this to you?"

"No" Danger. I'm about to cry. I have to get in so I quickly turn around and walk.

"That bastard" Hiro angrily said then he rushed back to his bike.

"No! Stop, stop!" I loudly said, trying to stop him but he's too strong. So I just got on his bike behind him.

"What are you doing?" Hiro asked sounding pissed.

"It's not him, so stop" I said.

"Then what is it then?" he angrily asked.

I didn't answer. Should I tell him?

I almost fell when the bike started to move.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Somewhere we can talk" I think that's what he said. He's wearing the helmet so I can't hear him.

After 15 minutes, we arrived at Tim's house. I can tell just by the scent of animals that they probably just took in.

"Why are we here?" I asked when we both got off.

"Talk" he said.

"In front of them?"

"Ofcourse not, this is a good place to talk"

"But it's their house"

"They have a back garden so they won't hear us" he said then opened the gate without knocking.

Hiro guided me to the back garden and sat with me at a bench.

"Now tell me" Hiro said.

"We should not be here without their permission" I said trying to change the subject.

"Should I just go and ask Andrew?" he asked.

I sighed. "Why didn't you tell me about Queenie?"

"What about her?" he asked, sounding confused.

"About you and her...dating" I whispered.

"We didn't date" he sounded surprised about the dating part.

"But Andrew said you...slept with her" I said.

This time, he didn't answer and remained silent.

"Everyone knows but I didn't" I quietly said.

"You know about how I was before. You know that I date and slept with different kinds of girls every other day right?" he quietly asked.
