Too soon?

Chapter 42:

Although Prim and Rory had only been together for two months... Rory proposed to her last week. It was great and I'm happy for my sister but, I really think it's a little too soon. Today I helped Prim pick out her wedding dress. Next month she will be Primrose Hawthorne. It feels really weird that my sister is marrying the brother of the man I used to love. I bet Gale feels funny about it too. But if Prim's happy, I'm happy. "I really love this one." Prim comes out of the dressing room twirling. I smile. "It looks like the one I wore to my wedding." I say. Prim smiles. "I wish I could have come to your wedding." She says. "Yeah me too." Prim takes the dress to buy it and I wait for her with my mom. "Katniss?" My mom turns to me. I look at her. "Are you and Peeta going to have children?" She asks. I realized she was looking at a short woman carrying a crying toddler outside. My heart stopped at the thought of having a child and I shook my head. "That's not up to you mom." I scoff. My mom bites her lip. "I know it seems weird but sooner or later-" Prim cuts my mom off. "Ok we can go now!" She shrieks.
