Chapter 29:

I ran into the bakery screaming Peeta's name at the top of my lungs. I went to the cash register but I didn't find Lilly. "Lilly!?" I opened the employees office and gasped. Lilly was dead on the floor, holding nightlock in her hands. No. I thought. I ran out feeling like crying now. Gale was running towards me. "You ok Catnip?" He asks helping me up. I shake my head. "Peeta could be dead!" I get out of Gale's hold. I heard a faint yell all the way down the street. "Katniss!" I turned towards the noise. "Peeta!?" "Katniss!" I started running down the street and I could finally make out that Peeta was lying on the floor. "Oh my god!" I scream and kneel down next to him. "It's ok." I say. I help Peeta walk all the way to Gale's house. Once we were inside I noticed my mom and Prim were missing. Gale frowned. "They were here!" I saw a bloody note on the ground.

Dear Katniss,
How stupid do you think I am? You really have no clue on what is going on huh? Your mom and Prim are with me. If you want them come by the old abandoned ware house by the end of district twelve. Bring Peeta. It will be even more fun. You two better come here fast or they are dead.
