The wave of power that's leaving Chase's body makes a light breeze flow through the trees. My hands lightly shakes and the guilt increases. I cuased that.

I had ruined that man's life.

I gulp, knowing that I need to get out of here before they spot me. Also before I attack that stupid alpha. Wat the hell is wrong with him?

So Chase made a mistake? We all make mistakes.

I jump to the next branch, heading back to my territory.

I make it home just as the sun starts to rise. My house is still dark which makes me happy as I climb back through my window. About half way I realised that my parents might not be too happy with me just having dissapeared.

Especially since just about twelve hours ago, I was still missing.

I go to my closet, getting dressed in a pair of red shorts and a white blousse after taking a much needed shower. It's not the most formal clothes but it would do for seeing my alpha. I take extra time to comb my hair thought, it actually having become curlier after having turned into a wolf.

Actually everything about me has changed the tiniest bit. My eyes are still aqua thought if I'm not mistaken they're just the tiniest shade darker. My hair is a lot curlier and has also gone a bit darker. Combined with having grown just a tiny bit taller, I can't help but smile.

I still might not resemble a wolf completely but it's better than nothing.

I'm still busy inspecting my new features when there's a knock on my door. My mom peaks her head in, smiling.

"Morning my little flower, how'd you sleep?"

"Good, thank you mom and you?"

"Really well, I'm just glad you're back home save and sound" My mom enters the room and once again I'm enveloped in a hug.

"I'm glad to be back too Mommy" I smiled, hugging her back. We hug for a few more moments when she lets go, "I'm going to go start breakfast sweetie, you finish up here so long"

My mom leaves which gives me time to make my bed and not think about what I had done in the enemy's pack. What guides me out of my room after about fifteen minutes is the smell of freshly made waffles.

Oo goodness... glorious waffles.

My dad was already downstairs, busy making some coffee.

"Morning sweetie" he smiled as he handed me the cup. I was once again enveloped in a hug.

"Morning daddy" I smiled, taking a big gulp of the wonderful liquid.

My mom lifts up a plate of waffles, cream and so much chocolate suace I swear she broke into Willie Wonka's factory.

"Thanks Mom" I smiled as I sat down.

"We're just glad you're back.

I come about halfway with my breakfast when there's a knock on the door. Dad goes and opens it but who enters our little kitchen almost makes me choke on my breakfast.

"Morning young alpha" Mom smiles, "Can we offer you some coffee?"

"No need, just came to get your duaghter"

My mom nodded, biting her lip.

"Isn't it a bit early?"

"Alpha has a lot to do sir" Felix nodded, looking at my dad before his gaze fell on me, those chocolate brown eyes lettting a comfortable feeling settle in my stomach, "You ready?"

I nodded, getting up from my chair, "I'll see you guys later" I said, giving both my parents a quick hug before following Felix out. We walk for a while, an awkward silent air growing above us.

Finally – when I think I was going to sufficate from the toxic air above me – he speaks up, "Squirrel – I'm sorry"

I stop dead in my tracks. From everything he could have said, an apology was as unsuspected as my wolf sprouting wings.

"What?"

Felix turned towards me, his forehead creased, "I'm sorry I just... I was a flipping idiot!" he kicks the ground, some dust being cuaght by the wind.

"It's fine" I said, biting my lip.

"No it's not Lily – I shouldn't have just left you there! I shouldn't even have run that directions!" he said, his hands starting to shake.

"It's fine" I repeated, "It happens, I'm okay now"

"Yeah sure you are" he muttered as he approached his house.

He opened the door, letting me in before it was slammed closed. I didn't know what he had meant by those words but I didn't let it bother me. It was time to go meet my alpha.

Okay, so it's pretty obvious that this was just a filler chapter. I just wanted you guys to see how Lily's family life is. They're a very close knit group which is an important factor as the book will continue.
