Actually I didn't "win" but I GOT THIRD PLACE IN MY AGE DIVISION FOR FASTEST RUN!
Dead. What. I'm the worst runner ever. I...what. And they made me run up the steps!
I remember my first 5k. It was the Jingle Bell run and I was like 9 and a chubby marshmallow.
I remember my time. 48 minutes.
I remember people accepting awards for fastest and I just oohed and awed. Like "wow. I wish I could do that" and "That's so fast!"
Yesterday I finished in 31 minutes, 19 seconds. The only person I can thank is my dad for making me keep going because I think I would've passed out going down the hill; or up the giant steps of the university.
To balance it out though; I fell going up the steps to accept my award so...
