"Where are we going?" I asked again.
"I'm not telling you."
"Have we been there before?"
"Yes."
I thought, but didn't think of anything. We had been too many places.
"How far away are we?"
"Not far."
"Hmph." I blew my hair out of my face through my lip and he laughed at me.
"I can't believe you haven't figured it out yet."
"You're not giving me any hints!"
"If I gave you a hint you'd get it right away."
"Try me."
He thought for a second.
"Teddy Bear."
"Teddy Bear?"
"Yup. That's all you're getting."
It was my turned to think and I sat back starring out the window.
Teddy Bear?
You'd think it'd be helpful...
He glanced over at me and smiled. He knew I hadn't figured it out yet.
"This is really bothering me." I whined.
"That was pretty much the biggest hint in the book without giving it away!"
He took my hand off my leg and weaved his fingers through.
"Another one?" I asked.
"Nope." He shook his head.
"Please?" I whined. "Please, please, please?"
"No."
"I'll kiss you!" I leaned towards him.
He pursed his lips together and glanced at me.
"As tempting as that really is, no. I will not let you win this one."
"Hmph."
I sat back again and looked out the window.
Teddy Bear.
A Teddy Bear!
I really am slow sometimes...
I smiled and looked back out the window.
I knew exactly where we were going now. I should have guessed it, especially since the drive from our house to now had been longer than expected.
"So, are we talking like five minutes here?" I asked him.
"Maybe." He shrugged.
"I know where we're going."
"Where do you think we're going?"
"Nope, I'm not telling you."
"Fine."
"Fine."
He picked up our hands and kissed mine. I blushed and smiled at him.
I waited impatiently, staring back and forth between him and the window. He laughed at me and I saw it, the lights already reflecting into the ocean.
"I got it!" I kicked my legs.
"I really thought you would have figured it out after I said Teddy Bear."
"I should have."
"It was funny though." He smiled and squeezed my hand.
