Sid was planing over the water of the Dnieper river.

“Sid,” said I.

Sid looked round, “Is that you Author?”

“Yes it’s me. Are you going to forgive Arthur?”

“I don’t feel like forgiving him yet. He’s always speaking down to me thinking he’s better than me.”

“But that’s the funny thing, people laugh when you, the common dwarf, cock a snook at his authoritative behaviour and pompousness. It’s been the same for thousands of years. That’s why Charlie Chaplin became so famous because the common man could empathise with him taking the mickey out of authority figures.”

“Can I not forgive him a bit later?”

“Ok then, we can let him get captured by the CGB for now then you can rescue him.”

“Alright then.”

“By the way that ‘I’ve been to Helsinki’, sticker is explosive. You might want to take it off.”

“Really,” exclaimed Sid, “why didn’t you tell me about it before?”

“I thought it might be a good plot device, but seeing as you’ve been nice enough to forgive and eventually rescue Arthur I thought I’d tell you.”

“Wonderful,” moaned Sid, “now I’ve got to find a safe area to take my suit off in.” Surveying the area below he saw a blue telephone box and landed beside it.
