I paused, before making a noise of annoyance and turning back to Deacon who was still sniggering. "How is that funny?"

"I so imagined him in one of those sexy maid costumes,"

Leo gave him a look. "That is ...weird."

"Very weird," I agreed and Leo shot me a scoff.

"Don't agree with me."

"Shut up, maid. Put the crackers down and go away."

Leo looked down at his tray, his fingers holding onto the handles tightly, indicating how angry he was. "Oh, my bad. I seemed to have forgotten the sauce." He left without another word.

"Who the hell has crackers with sauce?"

"Yeah," Deacon shrugged, stretching out the word. "I wouldn't try the sauce if I were you."

I looked around the room, noticing the lavish furnishing and decorations. "I see you're a materialistic guy..." I hummed. "It'd be a shame if this house was burnt down...say, in the middle of the night...with you in it, of course."

Deacon raised an eyebrow. "Are you trying to threaten me?"

"Yes, Deacon, I am. Because pleading doesn't seem to be working with you."

Leo came back, setting the tray on to the table. I looked at the bowl he placed on the tray in disgust. "My sincere apologies; I got a little too carried away with cooking."

"Is that...flour in there?"

"And egg yolk, look," I pointed.

"There's barbecue sauce, a dash of pepper and red chilli powder and ...something else." Leo finished vaguely, waving his hand as if it didn't really matter.

"You wasted my food." Deacon scowled, his face unamused and ticked off.

"You've seemed to have forgot the crackers." I said.

"No," Leo replied sharply. "They're in there, just eat, you ungrateful ...wrench."

"And this guy is your friend?" I asked Deacon in amazement.

"You're never cooking again," Deacon said to Leo. "Not after you've wasted MY food. Golden rule in this house; do not waste food. Comprende?"

"I purposely didn't add in your doughnuts or your pies." Leo said, sitting down.

"You're forgiven," Deacon grinned.

"Because she doesn't deserve them." Leo added on in a murmur.

"This is ridiculous; we're wasting time!"

"You're right," Deacon agreed with me, picking up his remote again. "I've recorded an episode of The Walking Dead; we should be watching that."

"It's greatly addictive." Leo said flatly, the same time Deacon said those words with enthusiasm colouring his voice.

"Seriously? Deacon, please tell me you're not being serious. Ross is dying-"

"What does she want?"

"One of her idiot friends got bit by a sucker, she thinks I'll help." Deacon explained to Leo, which was then followed by their mocking laughter.

I felt my cheeks redden out of anger and I spat out my words threw gritted teeth. "How the hell can you just sit there and --!"

"Listen, Doll. First shut up," Deacon pressed the pause button. "I don't wanna hear about your friend anymore; because I don't care, it's not my problem, alright? Second, you can sit down and watch quietly or you can leave."
