I was talking to our parents about me proposing to Cyn and everything is a go. I just need to get the ring and then we are in business. Only the best for my baby. While we was wrapping up our conversation I get a call from Shad. I hope everything is good with Eli.
Erica:*answers the phone* What's up Shad
Shad: Are you alone
Erica: Yes why is Eli okay

Erica: Shad what's wrong

*meanwhile with Shad*
Everything was going good with Eli and I. He was in his crib sleeping like a baby after giving him a nice warm bath and then I gave him a bottle of milk and burped him and he was out like a light. He does look like Cyn and I know Erica is happy. Shai is happy she has a little brother. She hasn't stopped getting on my nerves since he got here. Joie on the other hand, I just don't know. After I put him down for the night I went and checked on Shai and she was out too. Joie left with some friends so basically I am on daddy duties.
*faint cries*
Shad:*goes to check on Eli* What's up little man
Eli:*starts screaming out of no where*
Shad: What's up little man *picking him up*
Eli:*crying harder*
Shad:*checking his head* Your forehead is hot
Eli:*crying louder*
Shad: What's wrong man *rubbing his back* You want a bottle *tries to give him a bottle* No

Shad: Yeah baby go back to bed
Shai:*rubbing her eyes* Daddy I can't sleep
Shad: I think he has a fever....We going to the hospital
Shai: Okay daddy....Grandma is here
Shad: You go with grandma and tell her we going to the hospital and if she needs me then call me
Shai: Okay daddy *walking out the door*
Shad gathers all Eli stuff and puts him in his car seat and puts him in the car and they head to the hospital
*15 minutes later*
Shad: I need help *running in and holding Eli*
Nurse: What's the problem
Shad: He has a fever....He's burning up and I don't know what to do
Nurse: Follow me and we will head to the back
Shad: Thank you
Nurse:*putting him in the incubator* The doctor will be here in a minute
Shad: Thanks again
*a few minutes later*
Kim:*walks in the NICU* Hello I am Dr. Kim
Shad: Can you tell me what's going on with my son
Kim: Let's check this little man out shall we
*a few moments later*
Kim: Well he indeed does have a fever and he also has diarrhea and an ear infection and we need to watch for GER or what we call Gastroesophageal Reflux
