Pasta with Tomato Sauce

Ingredients:

1 stick celery

1 small carrot

1 clove garlic

400g tin of tomatoes

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon pepper

3 tablespoons tomato puree

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 small onion

150mL water

Cooks Tools:

Saucepan

Chopping board

Tin opener

Garlic press

Wooden spoon

Sharp knife

Potato peeler

Step 1: Chop the onion, carrot and celery finely. Peel and crush the garlic. Heat the oil in the pan, and then add the vegetables.

Step 2: Cook the vegetables for about 5 minutes, until soft. Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and water then stir.

Step 3: Let the sauce simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring it from time to time. Taste it and add salt and pepper if needed.
