Lucky Is Me

13 months later....

It was a early spring day, Bella and Jake we outside with Sarah, letting her play in the snow that had freshly fallen that morning. Jake was sitting in the Gazeebo drinking hot chocolate, his body heat melted the snow so it was a no go for him. Bella stood beside Sarah, rubbing her stomach and watching her daughter who was trying to squish the cold white fluff that grabbed her interest.

Sarah got to her feet and toddled over to her father. "Daddy" she cooed.

Jake lowered his cup immeadiately, spitting out the hot chocolate he had in his mouth, from surprise. "Wh-what did you just say?"

"Daddy" Sarah said again, this time a smile crossed her face.

Jake quickly got to his knees, pulling Sarah into a hug. "Bella, Sarah just said her first words." Jake called out from excitement.

Bella hurridly walked over to the gazeebo. "She did what?" Bella said as she rubbed her large stomach.

"Sarah said her first word, she said Daddy" Jake repeated again.

Laughing Bella leaned forward to pick up Sarah. "Its about time you said something, I was starting to wonder whether or not you would speak. Then again, I didn't speak until I was 4 and when I spoke I spoke in full sentences. Sure surprised my mother and father." Tapping Sarah's nose Bella began tickling her. "You are such a blessing to your father and I"

Jake stood to his feet and took Sarah from Bella's arms. "You shouldn't be lifting Sarah like that. The doctor said this pregnancy is a high risk pregnancy, you aren't carrying just one baby but two."

Annoyed at the feeling of being useless Bella put her hand on her hip. "I am fine, healthy, perfect." Bella said rubbing her stomach. "The babies are fine as well."

Hugging his daughter, Jake kissed her several times causing her to giggle. "It's time to go inside and get your warmed up, how about a bubble bath"

Sarah smiled, before reaching out to her mother. "Mommy"

Bella's eyes widened before her face broke into shock. "You heard that right? I'm not imagining things, she said mommy." Ignoring Jakes worry Bella quickly took Sarah into her arms. "Do you wanna take a bubble bath with mommy, my angel."

Bella walked with Sarah in her arms upstairs into her bathroom. Setting her on her feet, Bella began starting a bubble bath for the two to share.

Getting into the bath, Bella brought Sarah with her and sat her on her lap. The two played with bubbles, before they all disappeared. Then was time to wash up. Bella put on a duck shaped gloved and lathered it with baby soap before tending to cleaning Sarah's nooks and crannys.

Jake stuck his head in 35 minutes into their bath to announce that lunch was now ready.

"Be out in a second, I just got to get myself and Sarah dressed." Draining the tub, Bella got out and dried off, throwing her bath robe on before drying off her daughter and lathering lotion on Sarah's body. "Are you hungry momma" Bella spoke gently as she brushed her daughters long curles, before braiding them into a long braid. The second Bella set, Sarah on her feet, she took running out of the room and down the stairs to the kitchen where she smelled her favorite meal. Grilled cheese and soup.

Jake caught Sarah around the waist, lifting her into his arms and swinging her around in circles. "There's daddys girl, got you are getting bigger every day." Jake said as he set her in her high chair.

"Food!" Sarah cheered, slamming her tiny fists over and over again on her highchair tray. "Food Now!"

Laughing at his daughters impatient attitude, Jake placed a small plate with small pieces of sandwich cut up into bite sized pieces. "Eat up angel face."

Without hesitating, Sarah snatched up her food and began shoving it into her mouth. Bella entered the room, sitting down at the table. Pulling a plate to herself and a bowl, she smiled as Jake filled them with soup and a sandwich before sitting down beside her and serving himself.

"Thanks Jake" Bella spoke.

Leaning in Jake kissed Bella on her lips. "2 weeks to go" Jake mumbled rubbing her massively bulging stomach gently. "I still can't believe you won't let them tell us what the sex of our babies are.

"I don't want to know, it should be a surprise." Bella replied. "Plus we already know what we need to know and that is that we are having twins."

"Yay" Jake said, with an emotionless voice. "I feel my wallet losing weight already" he joked.

"Really funny Jake, you're the one that wanted a huge family."

"I know, I just thought they'd come one at a time."

"That's what you get for thinking" Bella added with a laugh.

Picking up his cup of orange juice, Jake took a drink. "Luckily I make 6 figures a year after taxes."

"Luckily I pushed your hot ass to get back into school or you wouldn't be making those 6 figures."

"Lucky" Jake replied. "Lucky I married you"
