I spend a lot of time thinking.
Spend a lot of time imagining.
Spent a lot of time doing things I shouldn't.
But sometimes,
When I lie down to sleep.
My eyes don't let me sleep,
So I look out my window,
And watch the night go by,
I seem to see more and more each night.
Little things I hadn't noticed in the light.
These things are great to know about.
Probably never going to be important,
But I'm satisfied knowing I have seen more in the same scene as you.
I see the stars slowly walk across the sky,
Funny how they always seem tired.
But their lights don't go out.
I have seen the moon come and go.
It seems a little sad.
Even when half there,
The man still smiles.
I've heard,
The crickets singing lullabies to the others,
And the wind whispering to the tall grass.
It seems like the whispers are secrets,
Meant only to be shared between the grass and the wind.
I wonder what they're about.
I have seen the day fade away,
To the secrets of the night.
The secrets I never seem to figure out.
