*Side note - I made a mistake with locations earlier and made a fix. Council is located in Montana and James' pack is in Washington state (northeast corner).. Colin's pack is in Colorado.

Chapter 34

"Creed stop! You are gonna kill him!" James and one of his men wrestled with me over the gun. I had just shot our captive in the shoulder in order to get intel. We are in Montana near the council territory in an small underground bunker. It had a few rooms that were used as cells and interrogation by the council. At the moment it was empty and this where we brought our hostage.

"Get off me James! I will shoot him full of holes until he tells me where Eva is!" I tried shooting the gun again at the man strapped to the chair, but James knocked my arm and the bullet lodge itself into the ceiling.

"Torture me all you want. I don't know where she is!" Jones screamed at us. He was stripped down to his underwear and anchored to a metal chair by his arms and feet. His hand was held down by a strap leaving his fingers spread open on the arm of the chair. He had some wiggle room but couldn't free himself.

"I want to know where she is being held, phone numbers, and the plan!" It had been a week and in all my info, with the help from my Uncle and Dad, one name kept popping up, Tucker Jones. He was one of Carson's henchmen, which people refer to as a cleaner. He goes in and clean up a mess and cover up a lot of Carson dirty dealings. It took us two days to get him alone and capture him. Now that he was under our control, I was not going to allow Eva to slip through my fingers.

"Maybe he doesn't." James was trying to reason with me, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Jones. He was too calm and every fiber in my being told me that he was lying.

"He knows James and I will make him talk." I began tapping my leg with the gun still clutched in my hand.

James pulled me out of the room.

"Listen brother I know this is hard, but this guy is a dead end. We will keep looking for leads."

"No. This is the first good lead we've gotten in over a week. A week! Eva has been missing for a week. Trust me on this, he knows something. I know he is lying. This is what I do for a living. I will beat it out of him if I have to." I closed my eyes trying to stay calm. I rubbed my temple with the top of my gun. My brother couldn't understand what Eva's disappearance was doing to me. I was teetering on the edge and one more move and I was going to fall. This time if I lose my mate, I don't know if I will be able to stay sane.

"Creed you need to calm down. You are losing it man! I almost lost my brother once, I will not lose him again. Don't go back in there. Let me handle it." James shook my shoulders trying to snap me out of it, but it was too late.

"I love you man, but you won't do what is necessary to get the information. Leave, I will interrogate him alone."

"Creed don't." James grabbed my elbow to prevent me from going back into that room.

"Whatever you hear, don't interfere." I shook off his han and walked back into the room and dismissed the others. I walked over to the table in the corner and dismantle my gun. I lined up each bullet on the table.

"I told you, I don't know where Carson is holding her." I placed a silver knife on the table along with a lighter, a fingernail clipper, and silver, metal wire. I placed it out in plain view of Jones with my back facing him. "I would tell you, if I knew something!"

I picked up the lighter and lit it. I picked up the jagged knife and let the flames heat the edges. I turned facing Jones that was strapped to the chair and peering at my movements with caution. "I know you. Do you know me?"
