I felt someone shake me and I opened my eyes.

"The food is done," Nazar said. I got up and noticed I was in bed.

"How did I get in here?", I asked.

"After what happened you fell asleep, in my arms and I laid you down in your bed," he said as he brushed my hair away from my face.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I said.

"It's fine, c'mon let's eat," he said. I nodded and got out of bed. I went down the stairs and saw the table set up.

"You used seasoning in the beans right?", I asked.

"Of course," he said.

"Just making sure," I said. I sat down at the table.

"Thank you, for cooking," I said.

"No problem, its always a pleasure to cook for such a beautiful woman," he said, gazing at me.

"No one has ever called me beautiful before,'' I said, shying away from his alluring gaze.

"Well you should get used to hearing it because when your around me I'm going to tell it to you all the time," he said.

I blushed and started eating the beans.

"How does it taste?", he asked.

"Great, just like my mom's," I said.

"Where is your mom? I haven't seen her around town," Nazar said.

"She left. I guess she got tired of life around here," I said.

"I'm sorry to hear that Fae, has she contacted you at all?," he asked.

"No," I replied.

He let the conversation die down. I always wondered where my mother was or what she was doing. If she was even thinking of me.

I wanted to believe that she would come back.

But in my heart I knew the truth. She was never coming back.

"So what's your family like?", I asked him.

"I don't know. I never had a family," he said.

"Oh. I'm sorry," I said.

"It's okay. I grew up in an orphanage, but I left," he said.

"So where do you live now?", I asked.

"I worked and saved up enough money to get my own place," he said.

"You'll have to show it to me sometime," I said.

"Maybe," he said.

"Maybe?", I asked, raising one of my eyebrows.

"Yeah, but I would definitely let you see my place if you let me stay the night," he said.

"You can stay. In another room," I said.

"No Fae. I want to sleep beside you and have you in my arms," he said.

"I don't know," I said.

"Please Fae. I know you are hurting on the inside and I want to make it better. I saw the scars on your thighs, you don't have to do that. I'm here for you," he said.

"I don't want to talk about that and I don't want you to ever mention it," I said.

"Fae I can help y-

"I'm not a charity case. I don't need help. Now I said to drop it, so drop it!", I said.

"Okay, I won't talk about it,'' Nazar said.
