ZOE:

Feeling my stomach start to tense up, I couldn't help but let a couple of curse words escape under my breathe as I clutched the rails of the bed. I been in labor for nearly 28 hours, of which Alfie had been near my side the whole time. Even though I wasn't allowed to eat anything he was a pro at getting me ice chips and water, especially since I had reach the home stretch and was at 9 and a half centimeters dilated.
"Just breathe" smiled Alfie as he left a small wet kiss on my head as tried to focus on something else other than the pain.
"What is todays date?" I groaned as I started to squirm around the bed, "I mean what is their birthday going to be?"
"It, uh...." mumbled Alfie as he fiddled with his phone.
"Its just a number, Alfie, it can't be that hard to find" I snapped as I felt another contraction start up.
"I'm sorry" he smiled as he looked over to me, "it's the 30th of June."
"The last day of June?" I murmured, "great they were suppose to be here the start of August and now they are June babies....Christ!"
"Oh, Zoe, plenty of important people were born in June" laughed Alfie, "the last day of June is a perfect birthday."
"Name 3 people that were born on June 30th!" I yelped as the pain started to get worse.
"Well, umm" he stuttered as he poked at his phone, "lets see...."
"NAME THEM!" I cried as the pain started to become unbearable.
"Oh heres some good ones" he grinned, "Cheryl Cole...Allegra Versace...Mike Tyson"
"Mike Tyson?" I yelped, "we can't have these babies on his birthday!"
"Zoe" he sighed as he took my hands, "who cares about being born on his birthday? Once they are here and healthy we can celebrate their birthday, a day dedicated to two of the most special and loved kids in the world...okay?"
"Oh, Alfie...I am being awful" I sobbed, "I am sorry for screaming at you, you probably think I am crazy."
"Little one, whatever happens between now and until these babies are born, I'm not even paying attention to. All I know is that I have the world's most beautiful woman as my wife and soon to be three beautiful children."
"Alfie..." I sighed, "I love you."
"And I love you" he grinned as he pressed his lips onto mine."
"So we are already working on number 4?" I heard the voice of Dr. Owens enter the room.
"No way in hell" I grunted as the sensation of another contraction hit.
"So I take it we are almost at 10?" she grinned.
"YES!" I yelped as it started to build once again.

Taking a deep breathe I couldn't believe that in a matter of an hour I would be a mother to two more babies. No matter how much Alfie and I would say it, the fact that they would soon be here still had not sunk in, yet the pain did.
"Okay Zoe" announced Dr. Owens as she stepped back from the bed, "looks like we are a 10, lets get these babies out!"
"Okay..." I whimpered as I peered up at Alfie, "lets get this going dad."

ALFIE:

Hearing the first cry of both of the babies instantly made my heart stop. Between their, Zoe and my crying the room was full of nothing but emotions ranging from relief to wonder.
"We have two health babies!" announced both teams of nurses that were assessing the babies.
"Go check on them" sobbed Zoe as she pushed my hand towards the two bright birthing centers where two crying babies laid.
"Congrats, dad" grinned one nurse as she let me stand between the two centers to look them over.
Feeling all the air leave my lungs, I couldn't help but feel the tears continue to flow as I looked both babies over. Not only were they small and delicate, they were beyond perfect in all ways. After all the pain Zoe and I had endured before, at that moment when I seen those babies made it all seem worth it. Two new souls had just entered the world of which could possibly change it all.
"A health 5 pound baby boy" smiled one nurse as she handed me the crying and fragile baby in my left arm, "with a 5 pound 3 oz baby girl" grinned the other as she placed her in my right arm.
"One of each?" cried Zoe as I gradually made my over to the side of the bed.
"One for you and for me" I laughed as I handed her the small girl, "we made these, Zo, these are our babies."

After the babies were properly checked out, Zoe and I were finally given some alone time with them. Sitting snug in the large bed, next to Zoe, I couldn't help but stare down at the small little life that I held in my hands. After trying for months, Zoe and I were finally parents once again.
"So, dad" grinned Zoe as she snuggled the small baby, "we have two names to come up with."
"Yeah, two names..." I hummed as I examined the small face, "have any ideas?"
"Niomi Louise and Joseph Marcus" she smiled.
"Are you serious?" I asked a bit surprised.
"I think that's what we need to name them" she sighed as tears soon gathered at the brim of her small eyes. "Over these past years Niomi, Louise, Marcus and Joe have always been there for us. Through our bad and good the four of them were by our sides when we needed them. Of course we kind of drifted apart, but once we found our way back to each other, so did they."
"I love it" I grinned as I kissed her small forehead, "Niomi Louise and Joseph Marcus it is."
Hearing a faint knock, I slowly raised my head as Tallulah and Zoe's dad appeared from the hall.
"Mummy" whispered Tallulah, "I have tried to keep granddad at home, but he kept insisting on coming to see the babies."
"Yeah, I dragged her out of the house" laughed Zoe's dad sarcastically.
"Oh, its fine" grinned Zoe as she wiped falling tears from her cheeks, "your dad and I were just making sure your little sister and brother were ready for you."
"SISTER!" yelped Tallulah as she sprinted to Zoe's side of the bed.
"And brother" I laughed as I stood and handed the new grandson to his grandfather.
"Well, well" smiled Zoe's dad, "he defiantly looks like his dad, sorry about the eyebrows, kid."
"Dad!" laughed Zoe.
"Oh no, does she have them too?" he laughed.
"No" I grinned, "Niomi Louise doesn't"
"What a pretty name" he grinned, "and what is my grandson's name?"
"Joseph Marcus" I smiled.
"Lil' Joe?" he grinned, "sounds like a winner.
Hearing another knock come from the door, I was surprised to see Louise and Matt poke their heads from the hall.
"Everyone decent?" she grinned.
"Of course" giggled Zoe as smiled over at me.
"Oh, chummy!" squealed Louise, "two little Zalfie babies! I think my heart is going to explode."
"Good thing we're in a hospital" winked Matt as he shut the door behind him.
"What are they? Names? Oh someone tell me" grinned Louise as she joined Zoe in her bed, pulling Tallulah in her lap for a better look.
"A girl and boy" smiled Tallulah.
"One of each?" she grunted.
"Yes" nodded Zoe, "Joseph Marcus is with his dad, and right here is Niomi Louise."
"Niomi....Louise?"
"Yes, godmother, you finally have someone to carry on your name" I smiled. "Oh, Alfie...Zoe...I don't know what to say..." whimpered Louise as she tapped at her eyes.
"Please, don't cry" sighed Matt, "she has been a basket of emotions since Tallulah called to announce that the babies were here."
"I just love babies, so much" sobbed Louise, "and now...ahhh" she laughed.
"Speechless" I laughed as I watched Zoe hand her small girl over to Louise.

Zoe:

Watching Alfie turn down the lights, I couldn't help but smile. Just the thought of our family of five made me feel like the wealthiest woman in the world. Of course we've had our ups and downs, but the fact that Alfie and I worked through our problems and have came out on top was very rewarding. Feeling him slide into the large hospital bed next to me, I automatically nuzzled my way into the small space under his arm as I laid my arm across his stomach.
"How are you, my little one?"
"Happy" I sighed as I closed my eyes.
"Happy?" he grunted, "and why is that?"
"Today I finally realized that our life isn't going to be perfect, but we are pretty fucking close to it."
"Such a fowl mouth for a mother of three, Zoe Deyes."
"And you're too hot to be a father of three Alfie Deyes" I giggled as I felt his lips press against my forehead.
"I guess we do have some pretty awesome kids" he laughed
"Plus friends, I can't believe how many came to see us today."
"And friends" he repeated, "I guess our live is pretty fucking close to perfect, huh?"
"Yes" I smirked, "pretty close.."
